Growing up around Memphis, TN, songwriter, and recording artist D-Arkangel has had a plethora of musical influences to include punk/grunge/heavy metal; 90’s gangster rap/horror-core rap. Local rap artists, such as: Three-6-Mafia, Playa Fly, MC Mack, Muck Sticky, and Shelby Forrest Click were among his playlist. 
Other rap influences include: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Hopsin, and Tech N9ne.
He began writing songs under “D-Arkangel” since high school. He has written songs for over 20 years, recording a few tracks with fellow local rappers over the years (songs are assumed to be lost).
After enlisting in the US Navy, D-Arkangel continued to write songs, recording tracks at home, and even recorded a post-grunge album in 2008.
Now living in southern CA, D-Arkangel has finally began recording songs in studio, releasing his first single, “Hel”.
D-Arkangel plans on releasing his first studio album with Pacific Ocean Records in the near future.
