We've been following faultless label Malka Tuti since their very first release, and Khidja's "Drums Of Taksim" (MT003) was undoubtedly one of the defining tracks of 2015. After Gilb'R's remix of J.A.K.A.M. a few months ago, we're delighted to premiere another track off their latest release : an EP by The Kloom, a new all-star project born in Dusseldorf through members of Autarkic, Naduve, Stabil Elite and more. Needless to say, impressive cast. The Die Wilde Jagd remix was our choice of the day, a slow motion groover topped with analog waves and haunting delayed vocals. Out this month so don't sleep !

Aus Music proudly present their final release of the year which brings with it the return of recent signing Paul Woolford. The Houndstooth and XL Recordings regular continues to refine the emotionally charged drama of his recent work and in doing so, enhances his constantly evolving catalogue with a continuation of the recent ‘Heaven & Earth’ EP on Aus. 


The ‘Father, Son & Holy Ghost’ EP sees Woolford propel heart-wrenching melodies with thunderous drums in a manner that only few are capable of. Progressing with resolute intent, the package includes 2 club-ready cuts and the beatless, string-laden ‘Son’ which completes a release of radically heightened compositional intensity and rounds off a stellar 2016 for Aus.

Some things just make sense and we’re pleased present the first collaboration of 2 of our favourite artists : RED AXES & C.A.R. 
This release has been a long time coming. Tracks were first exchanged back in 2014 and it’s been an organic, intuitive process. Like-minded musically & likeminded lyrically - Red Axes & C.A.R. seem to work the same way. Recordings happen fast. One or two takes. It’s punk and it’s effortless. 
1960’s, psychedelic 2040 arrived on queue. A sweaty, London-summer evening, after spending the day writing alone out Hackney Marshes, Chloé demo’d the vox. - languid, nostalgic, at arm’s reach from the city - the track depicted the moment perfectly. A paper thin Victorian wall separating her from the chatting neighbours, she shut her eyes and got as close to the mic as possible. 
A few weeks Red Axes & C.A.R. were together in Tel Aviv. Ten times sweatier than London. To say the studio was dripping hot is an understatement. There was a party heaving in the square below, a van parked in the middle, broadcasting out on the radio waves. Dori was determined to use the intimate London vocals for 2040 and so they cracked on with Incognito, a club track that isn't one but works in its own way: rockabilly reverbs, an almost hip-house delivery, the strange alchemy of 808 fumes. Already inebriated from the city, Chloé had written her words off-cuff in the hotel room, just hours before.
Fastforward a year. Summer 2015. Niv had sent Space Cream a few months earlier - an electronic 4/4 ballad which already featured looped samples of some of the stuff they’d recorded in Israel. Heady and sticky, Chloé had to wait for longer days before she could get anything down.
Finally XMan, descends further down into psychedelia… Perfect for the London winter closing in. Heads filled with Cookie Mueller & memories of losing oneself in dark, basement parties - the words rolled off the tongue. 
Last autumn Red Axes invited C.A.R. down to London’s Pickle Factory to perform Incognito live. During soundcheck she penned some words for a new track they were debuting, which they also ended up doing. It’s an experience synonymous for this collaboration. What comes easy, makes sense.

After 7 years of chart topping hits covering an array of genres, Pleasurekraft have announced the release of their debut album "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" set for release on 23rd February.

Whether treading into electronica with the album's existential bookends; "Interiors" and "Last Transmission", or flexing big-room techno muscles on "The Day the Earth Stood Still" & "Rigel", there is an indelible fingerprint throughout the 11 tracks that merits continuous listens to reveal its multi-layer depth. Filled with cinematic and cosmological references throughout, what makes "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" truly unique is that it is not merely music for a clubbing experience, but something more, something akin to a musical mission statement; To prove that there is more to dance music than just a 4/4 beat, cliche drug references, and party themed vocals. From Casey Gerald's stirring sermon on "G.O.D. (Gospel of Doubt)", to the searingly cynical "Corpse Reviver Number 1", this debut album is wholly visceral on a musical and thematic level.

Having established a firm reputation for creating standout productions since the release of the now iconic "Tarantula", Pleasurekraft's musical evolution has moved towards a much tougher, atmospheric blend of melodic techno in recent years, comprised of big room drums, soaring breaks, and smart, unpredictable vocals. This self-dubbed "cosmic techno" sound has garnered support from a range of techno heavyweights, including Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber & many more.  

While "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" is certainly dressed in full techno regalia, it's pulsing heart yearns toward a greater understanding of the Cosmos, and humanity's place within it.

Next up on Calypso Records is Aristidez, who has emerged as an important figure in his hometown of Lima with the Casalocasa parties which he has run since 2012, and has used to bring the likes of Hunee, Matias Aguayo and Kim Ann Foxman to the city. Having previously released on labels including Disque Discos and Discos Aquelarre, Aristidez's brand new 'Evasivas Esotericas' EP takes the listener on a journey dipped in Peruvian culture through the streets of Lima.

We're very happy to be premiering a remix of lead track 'Nada Nada' by Russian duo Simple Symmetry who've previously released on Disco Halal. Mysteriously titled the 'What Happens After Death' remix, it ups the tempo with frenzied vocals and clattering drums.
