Solid Ground was formed in 1991 or 1992 by Jaro, Nils, Erik and Daniel who all played in other bands before. After a few gigs here and there we recorded a demo at the Stilteloos studio with Daan v/d Elsken. We kept playing gigs in Holland and I vaguely remember winning some sort of price that gave us the opportunity to record another demo. This was done at the A.M.P. studio's with again Daan in the drivers seat. Come to think of it, we also did 'Grote prijs van Nederland' (a Dutch battle of the bands), won the forerounds but got disqualified 'cause we didn't play 3 songs but did our own thing. 1 short and 1 long song. Fuck those idiots. What also bothers me is that we never have gotten a price for the band that has had the most broken bones. All of us were working in bars and well, sometimes you break a leg, an arm, a knee, a hand, an ankle, a foot, a finger, a rib or 2. Mind you, we never blamed the booze!! Anyways, Erik left the band and Marco took over bassduties and him being Italian, booked us a tour in Italy rightaway. Also played Switzerland I believe. Next thing to do was to record an album. We spent 3 days and nights at the Waterfront studio with Jacques de Haard, I now remember he remixed our second demo too, and then we went home to finish later (what we never did). Timeline is a little blurry here. We went to Scandanavia on tour. Might have very well been before the recordingsession too. We went a ridin' from town to town just to find gigs cancelled. Luckely, 1 outdoor festifal in Sweden (could also have been Norway) came through and paid for most of the damage. Rob Reiner should have been there! The moment we set foot on stage it started raining... So did we go back and finish the album? Of course not. Somebody broke something and by the time he was all healed up we went back on the road. First some shows in Italy, that went actually very well, were it not that we had the van from hell, then a rest (another way of saying gigs were cancelled) in Triest. Next stop Yugoslavia, don't remember the city, where we probably played our best show ever, I think that was also the time we got our Solid Ground t-shirts stolen 'cause some soldiers were wearing them to the front. Did we or did we not went to Switzerland after that? I don't remember. Coming home, Marco left the band. And in came Michael. We practised a lot, played some shows, recorded some new songs at the Arenasleepin studio, and focussed on making a great record. We went back to the Waterfrontstudio with Jacques, took our time, spend a lot of money, but recorded Ground Zero. After that we did some shows but then the practiseroom got really wet and now we are taking some sabbatical years. A lot of them. The album came out on Konkurent records I think and if you want it, we just found a few and we keep you updated. All the demo's and misc recordings will also be released. Nils, dec 2007 ..


Hailing from the Orlando suburbs, The High Ground was formed in 2017 and consists of front man Andrew Parker (vocals), brothers Jack and Matthew Brown (guitar and bass, respectively), and Dillon Smith (drums).  The band’s sound can best be described as a blend of pop punk, metal, and post-hardcore, with influences such as Rise Against, Senses Fail, and Silverstein echoing throughout their music.  

The band’s debut EP “Concrete” arrived under the radar in early 2018, but positive reception quickly led to a growing fan base and several high-profile shows, including a showcase performance at Florida Music Festival and the Orlando stop of the iconic Vans Warped Tour.  

Positive momentum continued in 2019, highlighted by the summer release of a new single, two music videos, and the September release of their much-anticipated, sophomore studio EP.  With each passing day, the band continues to refine their identity and stake out their position on the scene, poised and ready to take the next big step…

Voagan is a multi-talented DJ/Producer from Johannesburg, who has been making a name in the underground club and music scene for the past 8 years. His knowledge of the right beats for the right crowds is what has given him a distinct edge on his set selections.

Having started off with mainstream trance, Voagan now blends a variety of electronic dance genres, including: Tech House, Minimal, Deep House, and straight Techno. But, High Energy Progressive Psy-Trance topped with sneaky, phatt bass lines, is what you can expect from this deckmaster when he’s playing at ESP – early morning, every Sunday in The Cave!

Voagan recently climbed up the ranks at the South African National DJ Championships 2013, ultimately ending up in the Top 6. He has also had the privilege to perform alongside some big names from the electronic dance music industry: James Damian, Kyle Watson, and Eddie Virgo, to name but a few.

This dynamic DJ with a passion for creatively inspired sets has many more goals he has set for himself. “I have set out achievements that I have to accomplish, in order to attain the success I want,” explains Voagan.

With spans of energy, driving determination and an uplifting attitude, he advises his fans to keep a watchful eye…

ON THE GROUND es una firma dedicada a promover e impulsar el talento Venezolano, por medio de la organización de diferentes tipos de eventos en los cuales participan (DJ's, Raperos, Diseñadores, Fotografos, Deportistas, Bandas, Cantantes, Bailarines, Marcas de ropa y otros talentos y artes urbanas y sub-urbanas que conforman el talento "UNDERGROUND" Venezolano).

Se conforma a mediados del 2012 por algunos de sus integrantes cuando aun permanecía como un proyecto a futuro.

Su nombre se origina de la palabra UNDERGROUND la cual es comúnmente utilizada en el mundo del arte, la música y entretenimiento en general, para describir a cualquier talento nuevo, poco conocido, que no es MainStream o que realiza un estilo de trabajo distinto a lo convencional o preferido por las tendencias populares. La palabra ON THE GROUND es una palabra homofona en referencia a la palabra UNDERGROUND, sin embargo ON THE GROUND significa ``en el suelo´´ o en la arena, debido a que el nombre representa metafóricamente la intención de representar este talento en general, creando una nueva tendencia alternativa de ''Movida Nocturna Venezolana'' en la cual a pesar de ser un show diferente al que comúnmente ofrecen los locales nocturnos venezolanos, no se menos precie el talento nacional y la calidad de eventos alternativos de altura que se realicen, siempre brindándoles lo mejor en nuestro show.

ON.THE.GROUND tiene como visión:

Dar a conocer dentro del mundo del entretenimiento nacional e internacional, a todos los talentos Venezolanos que la conforman la organización, realizando eventos en los cuales se fusionan el arte, la música, la fotografía, el diseño, la danza, la moda, los deportes extremos, la artesanía y el trabajo en equipo, aportando el talento y los conocimientos necesarios para desarrollar un show de altura, totalmente diferente y para darnos a conocer e impulsar a cada uno de sus integrantes.

Nos sentimos orgullosos de poder promover y ser parte de esta cultura y este movimiento y lo hacemos por gusto y vocación primordialmente, es nuestra pasión, corre en nuestra sangre, y lo vamos a dar a conocer.
