Great track! And I love the sound developments around here.

i like this a lot. you did better at blending the genres than i did, at least! really my favourites from this project have been ones that are truly a combination of the two styles, feels like a lot of people (myself included) made something that was mostly one genre with a sprinkling of the other.

5 different pulse waves from www.sampleform.com play 5 times each. The first time, the 5 original sounds all play in unison. After this, each pulse wave goes out of sync and are increased by varying semitones by multiples of 5 semitones upwards or downwards from the original note. The total times these 5 notes are played is 55.  AMENDMENT: LOL. 5 notes played on 25 occasions in total. Terrible math. Might do another version at some point but quite happy with this so will leave as is.

5 Pulse Waves Played 55 Times (disquiet0555)

Made for the disquiet junto 0556 where the idea was to fuse ambient and gabber genres.

Drums were made on a Digitakt and the rest was adding chaos / bliss in Ableton. Vocal samples come from Inspector Morse going to a rave. Legend has it this long episode contains the line "It's a rave, Lewis!", well I searched and couldn't find that, so just took some other bits.

This composition was created for the Disquiet Junto Project 0556: Gabber Ambient. 

Here's the description I posted on the Disquiet Junto 0556 discussion thread:
I was immediately intrigued by this assignment. I’m into ambient, lofi and more mellow forms of electronic music these days, but there was a time many years ago when I enjoyed fast BPM genres like hardcore, jungle, and especially drum and bass. I never listened to a lot of gabber though but am familiar with it. 

Like many, my first introduction to ambient was Brian Eno’s “Ambient 1: Music for Airports”. So my piece starts off with a short sample of his voice from a 2011 interview I found online. From there, it quickly morphs into loud 180 BPM madness, while a slow more ambient undercurrent, meanders underneath. Halfway through, the beat shifts to a bit of a DnB vibe. Everything cools off to a more serene feel at the end. This was created in Abelton Live using a combination of instruments, samples and effects. 

Combining the two types of music was like mixing oil and water but hopefully my contribution here is mostly successful. It sounded good to me, plus I had a lot of fun fooling around with this project.
