I was born in Brasil, the late 60's, but only in the late 70's I got to absorb the disco era. I was a listener, but always with a keen sense. It was where everything began, a passion for eletronic music, House, Tech House, Techno.
In the 80's, these most intensely lived, and for me one of the best. I absorbed a generation of true musicians, which adds even more knowledge and feeling.
Music is a cycle that goes back and forth. I did not stop in time, I enjoy the pasta and the present. I think I do define myself as an only style. I always say I like music and with the keen sense I have, I listen to the songs and if I believe they sound good to my ears, that's what I will believe. House is the base. However, in my sets there might be a tech house, a techno, or rather any Sound that may please my ears.

Toda paixão pela música iniciou-se pelo final da era DISCO, na transição da DISCO para House. Toda essa vivência na época foram fatores importantes para o Feeling aguçado e toda uma gama de conhecimento que vai do Soul, Jazz, Funk, etc. Fatores esses que fizeram ter essa Paixão hoje pela House Músic.

Como ouvinte das rádios locais, participava juntamente com os loucutores de rádios da época como César do Egito e Rubinho Jones, e também absorveu toda a geração dos djs da Gênesis que iam fazer o programa na rádio como ouvinte, pois eram privilegiados na época com bom repertório musical o que o fez enriquecer mais ainda seu vasto conhecimento musical.

Somente em 2002 começou a tocar em festas de aniversários, casamentos, festas privê, dentre outras onde foi adquirindo conhecimento.

Apresentou-se em club's como: Fábrica, Studio 7, House. Participou do Programa Zuada na rádio Mirante Fm onde éramos convidados para divulgarmos o som UNDERGROUND na época.Tocou em vários eventos do Verão Mirante, evento Eletro Beach, evento do Festival de Verão realizado pelo Marafolia,etc.

Participou do 1º Maranhão E-Music Conference(MEMC), pelos palestrantes Camilo Rocha e Cláudia Assef. Participou do WORKSHOP na UFMA,palestrado pelo Dj Flávio Griffo que teve como tema utilizado o REASON como ferramenta de produção musical. Participou do Curso de Princípios Básicos de Engenharia de Som ministrado pelo Egenheiro de Som Alemão Falk Grieffenhagen que trabalhou para o Kraftwerk.

Dedicação em pesquisas foram essenciais para ser conhecido por vários dj's com um bom repertório e uma boa musicalidade e com vasto conhecimento, sempre procurando a cada dia absorver as novidades, está ligado a novas tendências do mercado e até mesmo pesquisando algo experimental, afinal somos MUTANTEs, e devemos sim conhecer o que é novo para termos uma opinião própria e educar nossos ouvidos.

Ao longo dos anos, veio aprimorando-se, não deixando-o levar por opiniões de terceiros. Não retém o modismo, tendo um feeling aguçado e muita musicalidade, faz a sua linha da e-music, passeando nas vertentes: House, Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House até o Techno.

Amante da música eletrônica, Respira música, muito ansioso a cada novidade a ser tocada. Meu mundo é música.

Focusing on intriguing and hypnotic electronic music from all corners of the globe, Field Trips takes the listener on a seamless journey through dreamy ambient, downtempo, balearic, house, disco and experimental sounds, with a touch of the psychedelic. Special guests are invited to provide 1 hour guest mixes periodically.

Also featured are some of Nick's sets from various gigs and festivals around the world during his 15 years of club DJing and promoting. He is currently based in Mexico City.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Field Trips began its life as a humble one-off radio show on Balamii Radio in Peckham in 2016, with an all Japanese special hosted by Nick Cobby and Liam Jacquin- showcasing vinyl records bought on recent digging there. This was swiftly followed by a string of 'specials' presenting rumba and funk vinyl gathered from Cuba, Italian disco and South African Jazz to name but a few - interspersed with field recordings captured from the trips.

The radio shows evolved into live gigs and hosting parties in London. This was followed by a yearly party at Bar Bonobo in Tokyo, guest DJ sets at City Boy Lounge in Osaka alongside local Japanese talent, as well as guesting on Tokyo based radio station, Hamon Radio.

Over the years, the Field Trips sound developed past the more focussed 'specials' format to a thoughtful selection of ambient, balearic, IDM and downtempo sounds. Rhythmic, hypnotic and intriguing, with no corner of the globe left untouched.

The show is now streamed live on London's Netil Radio via London and Mexico City by Nick Cobby, with regular guest mixes by local and international talent. This archive features all the shows to date and is updated monthly.
