DMV recording artist Leo is a talented vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, and self-taught acoustic guitarist by way of Baltimore, MD. Born Eric Booze in the late 80’s he came up in Baltimore’s notorious South side town Cherry Hill. Leo discovered early on that he had a gift. While being from Cherry Hill was no easy feat it didn't take him long before he decided to use his talent as a way to escape the harsh street life that surrounded him. He started rapping as a hobby and was originally was known on the local music scene as “Cherry Hill Boozey” a nickname given to him as a mash up of his hometown and last name. In 2005 Leo performed at several open mic venues for exposure and to solidify his stage presence. He made quite the impression at Baltimore Battles a freestyle rap and music competition, and was offered the opportunity to participate as a host. There he connected with Davonte Wilson the founder of So Swagg a local group that provides entertainment for various colleges and universities. So Swagg took Leo under his wing and he began touring with them throughout the east coast offering the group his unique blend of rap and music. Once he caught the eye and ear of local independent M.A.M Records label owner Jay McGraw he was signed on as an artist. After joining the label he decided to focus his energy primarily into his singing talent, and reinvent himself from “Cherry Hill Boozey” to “Leo” while still incorporating rap and hip hop elements into his music. His stage name is a mononym synonymous with his zodiac sign and personality. He likens himself to a lion in the sense that he is a leader, bold, aggressive, loyal,strong, and protective of those he loves. Leo is a devout fan of old school records and attributes his musical influences to Al Green, Musiq Soulchild, Usher, and Luther Vandross. Leo is currently bridging the gap between his rap side as "Boozey" to his singer side and anticipating to have two mix tapes showing the diversity and talent of the two this coming year.

 Leo articulately states that he considers life a “good party” and also says music an outlet to “paint a positive picture of life”. He wants his success to inspire youth from his hometown and abroad to push past their nightmares and follow their dreams. When asked what advice he would give to anyone pursuing their goals, he pauses thoughtfully and says “Be yourself”. 

 Jeremy Zumaran has been creating art in one form or another since Childhood. He has a multifaceted musical background having performed as former ROBED IN EXILE & NEGATIVEHEAD/OMEGA COMPLEX vocalist as well as a Multi-instrumentalist solo artist. Besides these two projects, Jeremy has done session work, Performed with World Renowned Looping innovator, Rick Walker in "THE 1st SANTA CRUZ FESTIVAL OF VOICE + ELECTRONICA" & and an Industrial/ beatbox/ butoh improv show, just to name a few.

He also creates music under three monikers, "Black Light Generator" (industrial/rock/electro), "sinaptik" (EXTREME metal) & "iamthevoid" (rock/electro/orchestral). In all projects he writes and performs all music and vocals. Black Light Generator is a mix of electronic & industrial to mellow & psychedelic music.sinaptik is harsh and aggressive exteme metal. Mr. Zumaran is on an endless task to challenge himself as well as the listener. These musical incantations are vessels that transport the listener out of their comfort zone and into a world of chaos, catharsis and self-liberation. He has said that through his music, he strives to "Paint an audio portrait of death, reflection and rebirth" and would like to "leave a beautiful scar on the face of the planet".

Jeremy Zumaran creates art in both the audio and visual forms. He is known to use different mediums such as acrylics, stippling & skulls to name a few. His art portrays dark themes, extraterrestrial life and occult symbolism within a dense alien landscape. His art has been featured on the cover of Expressions Journal with features in other publications pending.

EMESIS / SCISSOR Split Recycled Cassette (Trapdoor Tapes) 
Trapdoor Tapes have been emitting various strands of hiss cultures from their Sunshine Coast, Queensland domicile since 2005, from what I could gather. A batch of five tapes arrived a while ago, so more information as it develops. The Emesis side is dubbed quietly but hits the spot with some hellish manipulated tape, delay and feedback maneuvers, possibly captured in a live setting. It's static, despondent and hallucinatory stuff with a machinated, almost industrial tone. The Scissor side is dubbed about ten times louder. Whirring drills grind away at harsh noise territories, bludgeoning the signal into obscured crackling at some points and chugging into phaser-heavy repetition at others. There are some interesting textures created with polyphonic signals, but the gadgetry feels overloaded. Eventually the signal totally dissolves into shards and pops, and the side is over. The casing for this split is probably the most grotesque of the whole batch, with a paint job straight out of finger painting hour and a sticker of Paris Hilton in all her irony, staring you down.

I.) THIRD I-THE BIRDS:
Static and Nature.Noize and "Beauty".Harsh high end howls of birds and feedback that seem to blend together as one. There is an odd ambience here, like the kind of ambience created by crickets at night.Piercing ringing feedback rises and
falls.Sounds not found anywhere in nature peak through for moments and vanish.Sounds like a noize/ambient track recorded in a rain forest with minimal technology and the batteries are dying.Strange sounds along with the wall
of birds and crickets continue mixed with crackling static.The noize effects almost sound like wooden flutes at times giving this more of a primal feel.Makes me imagine cavemen making first contact with alien life.I wouldn't
call this "Harsh Noize" but the production gives it a Harsh feel.At times it is almost painful w/ such high ringing walls of sound.Static effects whirl and crackle more towards the end obscuring the sounds of nature.In the end
noize wins and nature is no more.
II.) SCISSOR-COIL:
Scissors contribution to this short split is a little more harsher.Static forms a pulse and rythym along with clicks and strange sounds.An air-raid signal goes off and becomes a fragmented drone adding more to the pulse of the track.
Becoming more distorted and glitched as it goes on until it becomes a myriad of harsh noize.The pulse stops.The air-raid warning continues and is invaded by various electronic noize and grinding.The coils are turning.Evolving.Breeding.Giving
birth to more machines each with a tone of their own.Another pulse is born and rumbles through then breaks.Crunching distorted noize.Oldschool video game-like effect and electronic fuckery.This is much more diverse than the THIRD I
side of the split.Walls of noize and various manipulated frequencies.Almost sounding angry at times.The coils of the machinery engulfing any who ventured this far into the realms of underground electronics.It all begins to wind down and back up again. Coils constricting the listener.High pitched noize layers ring out and compete with one another Joined by "drums" or rather a plodding of some sort.Bubbling attacks of razor sharp sound.This is not the harshest noize projekt around by any measure but there is something challenging about all the drilling,pulsing analog soundscapes that SCISSOR presents us with.Low pummel.
Distorted drones.Noize torture.Then the coils slowly unwind to silence.

Hey! :) My name is Lauren Amanda and I'm kind of all over the place. I paint, draw, read, occasionally sing, and dance. I'm 16, Wiccan, and proud to be polish. Raised in Carson\Compton  of California, Max was originally born in long beach, and at a young age learned to be independent and self-sufficient. This of course comes to no surprise  how she developed into the amazing independent artist she is now today. 

Labeled as a ward of the court by age 2, she was one of the many children who faced the harsh realities of the foster care system. Using art as a therapeutic outlet, she began to grow a passion for creativity, and never left its side. 

Her first written song was around the age of  8-9 years old as she sang it herself when she became sadden or alone.  This song was named “Tear stains on my Pillow” which was soon to become one of many she would create.

Over the years she has not only advance in her song writing, but also her poetry, rapping, paintings and dance. . Her voice represents a microphone that tells the stories of those who do not have the courage to speak and has an influential power to those willing to hear. Thus birthing her trademark "Where the paint brush meets the microphone."

With role models such as Mos Def (aka Yasin Bey ) Lauryn Hill,  Nas,  Alicia Keys, Digable Planets as well as  a collective of 90’s hip hop an R&B influences she too desires to send message hear  around the world, while giving the classical old school  yet unique sound.

She has just released her new song “Time Capsule” and is not working to complete her next project “Love & Drug$” due this upcoming October.

“If Picasso was alive today he’d envy us, for we are the definition of an artist. We bring music to life by painting a vivid and gripping picture with words. Our song and story line concepts go hand in hand to paint a portrait, black market dealers can’t afford. There are no rappers doing it like us, period!” 
 
Burwood Park are a music collective which consist of two talented individuals; Cle, the artist and Vision the producer. Cle, formally known as soldier is an individual whose writing ability emerged when his tendency for explaining things in a vivid and descriptive detail brought tears to the eyes of friends and family members. During his term as "Soldier", being younger, his material was real and uncut and to some point there seemed to be some form of politics in regards to his concepts and song titles which caused problems with his songs being aired on radio and videos being played. Since then Cle has transcended in all aspects of life and has honed in on his abilities by writing a book and two feature film screenplays which are currently shelved as they use the music industry to support and elevate themselves before releasing them under their production company Clevision. Many of their song concepts derive from their Broken Vows film script and soundtrack

“Burwood Park is more than music.”

Vision aka Y.NOT formally known as Ti Friday is an eclectic producer and songwriter, with influences ranging from Ashanti Hi-Life to pop music, due to not having a lot of instrumentals to write to, vision started producing for himself, later for others, developing his own signature. Vision had the opportunity to work with, in his view, the UK's most underrated underdog of the underground urban scene (Cle formally known as Soldier)....through this their relationship grew as they brought the best out of each other and decided to form the collective "Burwood Park". Since then Vision has evolved into a fully-rounded producer fingering most genres and is an individual with immense drive and character which reflects through his beat making. Described by Cle as his mentor at times, Vision is the producer whose production brings out the best of the artist.
 
“Staying one step ahead of the game”

Since forming the collective, Cle and Vision took it upon themselves to reach out to film directors / producers in Europe. Their networking became a success when their concepts drew the attention of Bulgaria’s most sort after video directors, Radostin Sabev, Tomislav Mihaylov and Nikolay Pavlov. Since then they have formed a friendship which has exceeded their expectations and lead to Burwood Park going on tour and performing across Bulgaria’s cities such as Sofia, Varner, Plovdiv and Bourgas famously known as the tourist destination, Sunny Beach. Burwood Park have not been alone on this Journey, they have been performing alongside some of Bulgaria’s most popular and upcoming hip hop artists, the likes of Bulgaria's hugest Rap Artist Big Sha, but their tour through Bulgaria hasn’t been without glitches and face to face encounters with the thorns of the harsh reality, that the music industry is a hard nut to crack. 
After enduring sleepless nights whilst constantly on the move and still finding the time to produce, write lyrics, record, draw up story lines and film three music videos, two in Bulgaria and the third in Donetsk, Russia, they readied themselves along with Showshow and his camera crew and set on a flight destined for London to shoot their forth music video which is planned for release in reverse order.  Since grasping the real meaning of dedication, Burwood Park have gained the love and following of many Bulgarians and are now ready to make their debut on British soil with their first official song and video, Tales.

Tales is a song which illustrates one half, about the story of kids, teens and adolescents growing up with absent parents and never understanding the reasons behind it, whilst the story line itself depicts the other half of the coin, the likely reasons and both, interface to unveil a story ultimately about redemption.

NZs longest running dark experimental Industrial act, formed around 1985-86.

At its conception, a two piece utilizing many reel to reel tape recorders, loop effects and vocal cut-ups, various found steel objects and an arsenal of classic analog synths and drum machines. Very ecclectic  and unique, and were given the genre label, 'Junk Punk', by one reviewer to describe their sound.
They performed only three times as this incarnation, twice in New Zealand and once in Sydney, Australia. The live art performances included poetry and slide shows and were performed in art galleries. As part of an early 1986 performance the entire interior of a soon to be demolished house was torn apart in a frenzied ritual, accompanied by looping noise tapes fed through a generator driven PA system. Around 30 people took part in this now infamous display of art terrorism.

Their sound changed quite sporadically through the years, due to collaborating with a myriad of engineers, percussionists, guitarists, and like minded artists. BOSCH were always pretty experimental and 'outside the box'. You either loved them or hated them.
The late mid to late 1980s saw Bosch become a three piece of Gothic proportions. Merging Goth and Industrial to become a sort of  B-grade Neubauten / Feotus hatchling. This version only lasted a few months, but managed one, very loose live set which accompanied a gothic/dark art fashion show at an inner city nightclub.

1990 saw a new development of image and sound. A guitarist , Morpheus Ire, was added from a young local dark Metal band, Mother Morphine and bass/percussionist, Paul Blanchard, ex Plaster Saints, was recruited to play alongside the machines and keyboards,which instantly gave the group a whole new, heavier sounding 'Industrial Punk/Metal' direction. A more chaotic, angst ridden, almost anarchic direction. Live performances meant the destruction of stage sets and props. Audience participation was always encouraged live.
Hieronymus Bosch, though misunderstood by many, during this period, attracted quite a good loyal following from the Death/Punk and Metal communities whilst still maintaining their dedicated Industrial/Experimental music fanatics. They performed quite extensively throughout 1990 - '93.
Late 1993, Bosch headed back to its roots slightly, Industrial/Dark Ambient and only performing a couple of times, mainly as a solo act.

In 1996, Hieronymus Bosch expanded to a solid two member lineup. Trevor Donaldson, ex Sudersuk and classic NZ Punk band Armatrak joined and the two headed off into some rather scarey, electronic grinding 'nightmarescape' territories. 
"We've managed a few style change overs through the years but we always turned back to what we were all about".

Their sound is a very personal one. Constantly drawing aural imagery from their own and others personal lives. Interests, beliefs, fears and desires are all contained within the 'nightmare soundtracks'. Religion interests us, as does Life and Death. "Our main influence is life itself as a whole. There is so much drama going on in the world. Life isnt dissimilar to a huge television screen, continuously playing and repeating random scenarios. One moment, a horror show. War, chaos, death and fear, the next, perfect families in sugar coated dream worlds. Spirituality, Netherworlds of fantasy and escapism, Astronomy and the structure and complexities of the human mind all make appearances within the Bosch world. Our sound reflects as our own visions. Our views. Our way of thinking. Some pieces are slow and dark to depict the negatives of reality, (or Virtual reality), the down trodden and the weak, while other sections are lighter and somewhat uplifted. The balance is always there though. It seems to work".
HIERONYMUS BOSCH's music is constructed by combining the organic with electronic. Nature vs Technology. Layering samples with movement. Frequencies and modulations with sounds of their own existence. They are both fans in the idea of power in minimalism. Creating huge rhythm through repetition and looping of sounds and samples. Constantly building and creating new directions and moods.
Their first release back in 1990 was on video format."Our concept is a visual one, so we decided this was the best way to SHOW our sound". The five track release entitled simply HIERONYMUS BOSCH - THE VIDEO was limited to 300 copies and was swallowed up quickly within the hungry world underground scene

In 1997 HIERONYMUS BOSCH released a self titled album of dark and horrific scapes which has been circulating well throughout the world, mainly around the UK and European countries. 

1998 saw the creation of their second album , THE DIVIDED SELF.Another dark journey into the world of BOSCH. THE DIVIDED SELF is a collection of some sorts, a merging of styles and textures, lightness and darkness. They have also featured on a couple of overseas underground compilations and made a couple of appearances on the mid 90's performance/video release series TECHNOHELL.
In 2004 they released their third album THE DREAM SONGS on Polish Industrial label Fluttering Dragon.
Hieronymus Bosch have produced short film soundtracks for video artists in Belgium and Australia and have tracks in various local and international compilations.

Hieronymus bosch was the weirdest medieval painter/artist famous for his far out darkest and frightening paintings. He was described as the worlds first surrealist and his painted nightmares appear to be very modern still today. HIERONYMOUS BOSCH "The Dream Songs"Fluttering Dragon | dragon 030 | CD | 2004 

The third release from one of the most worldwide known dark ambient projects from New Zealand , Hieronymus Bosch, is entirely dedicated to the subject of children's nightmares, fear of falling asleep and being alone in the dark. At least that's what I deducted perusing the attached booklet... So, what's the point of having the pictures of young people who fought in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 on the front cover and inside the booklet? What's the connection between the album's concept and the artwork? Didn't they have other problems than a monster under their beds back then? Luckily, the sounds coming out from the speakers help you to forget quickly about that unfortunate match, and start to drown in the hypnotic, yet mysterious beginning of "The Dream Songs". Like another phase of a dream, the music kicks off quite peacefully to reach, with every step made towards the within, that state of mind when a dreaming begins. And then the proper events happen... Even if Hieronymus Bosch's work was pigeonholed as a dark ambient, it's hard to say now how much the record contents deals with background music as such... It seems that the stylistic turning points the group have taken within its almost 20-year-long history are reflected in many ways in their current work (even though they announce a return to the dark ambient roots with this record). The ten tracks featured here tend to intensify the emotional aspect of the album concept. Be it the mysterious and quasi sacral moments from the beginning of the record, or the violent post-industrial rhythmic poundings in the vein of In Slaughter Natives or Mental Destruction, the authors of "The Dream Songs" stay away from dark ambient clichï¿½s. No static appearance, but a sound in motion! The music absorbs you with very intense, massive sonic bands that runs across almost the whole album, yet you will find voice samples, loop effects and some piano employed to create anxious, nightmarish atmospherics.

The formula of blending post-industrial, classical music and dark ambient (with emphasis on the last element) seems to have been perfectly realized by the now defunct Law. The New Zealanders follow a similar path, so if you liked Law, you won't get disappointed with "The Dream Songs"!

It takes a certain brand of confidence to name yourself after three towering intellectual concepts. Note is an English term and the basis of all music. Code is the association with computers, electronics, creating something your own to add to the existing world of machines. Luv is the derivative of the word Love, a universal concept that does not need explaining. Together they create the ideal of the total or universal artwork, bringing together music, the visual arts, narrative and more into a single intoxica.

“NoteCodeLuv is an ambitious name,” he admits, “and it is something that just came to me when I was living in Toronto a few years ago. I want my music to be art, with something to say, but Notes and Coding is about details, massive music pieces, science and physics too. That means the small things, the tiny things that change everything, the detail. Just like a laboratory scientist who always keep questioning and refining their ideas. That’s what I strive towards.”

To mainstream audiences NoteCodeLuv is known for collaborating with local artists in Toronto, Lexington, and Chicago on composing music and organizing avant-garde experiences at venues and art galleries. This allows NoteCodeLuv to showcase his unique sound – dark yet light and fun, harsh but beautiful, sometimes brutal but always delicately structured.

“I don’t know why I’m drawn to dark sounds,” NoteCodeLuv admits. “It’s like when you make a movie about love,” he explains. “That’s not your life, it’s the art you have made. It’s a fiction. The music is exactly the same. Although there is nothing dark in my life, I have a facility to understand dark emotion.”

NoteCodeLuv is almost precisely as old as house music. He was born in 1989 in Moscow and discovered electronic music at the age of 16. “I was almost too shy to admit that I liked this music. It was primitive but in a serious way and I really liked that. I kept it to myself for years.” 

“I had to work again and again to find my proper sound,” he says. “The revelation came when I was listening to several artists (CINTHIE, Galcher Lustwerk, and Black Loops) over and over and I realized that my sound will come from synthesizing my life experiences, my musical talent and skill, and using these three authors as my musical mentors and guides. Together I will produce a unique deep and dark yet fun and funky playful - Speak Easy Deeper House (SEDH). It was the first rock of my building.”

"It was a precise moment when I was standing on the dark dancefloor listening to Galcher Lustwerk perform at Hot Mass in Pittsburgh in January of 2019. The music touched my heart and soul in a way that it has never before. It was then and there that I decided that I want to write music." 

NoteCodeLuv has never been a hardcore record collector, or a gig-goer, or even a clubber. ”If the music is really good I have to sit down on my own and listen”. He doesn’t even watch much TV or movies. “When I see other people’s creative work,” he says, “sometimes it overwhelms me.”

But visual art is a different matter. NoteCodeLuv is equally inspired by the impressionist style of paintings. Specifically because up close they are meaningless but from a distance they crystallize into an image.
