'Hidden' is a series of case studies brought to life through immersive audio, film and live theatre productions. In each episode, you are challenged to take a walk in someone else's shoes and consider what you can do to help.

This episode is set 200 years in the future and tells the story of Joanna, a forgotten person left behind in a digital age. Joanna also has a mental health illness.

It has been created by people with lived experience of mental ill health in collaboration with professional artists, health and social care partners and Researchers from The University Of York.

Hidden - Joanna's Story

Little Lungs is an immersive audio story that asks you to walk in the shoes of a family with a child living with a respiratory condition. 

Little Lungs explores the impact of indoor air quality on Max’s lungs. You will experience a year in Max’s life, bearing witness to the various conditions within the home that affect his health. You will be welcomed into his house and will meet his Mum, Dad, brother and sisters. Max and his family are fictional characters devised by people like them, using their skills, imagination and lived experience as inspiration. 

Little Lungs is a Made By Mortals production. Funding was provided by Lancaster University. We also wish to thank tenants and staff involved with the Torus Foundation’s indoor air quality in social housing project for their involvement with the piece’s development.
