More Than 2 years after his last solo project, François X returns with an EP on his new platform, XX LAB.

Recorded prolifically during covid this record unveils an innovative approach to techno from François, by incorporating modern pop and rap productions techniques he has developed over the period like arrangements and Vocal FX (all the vocals loops and FXs are his).
There is a profound sense of creative freedom in how François X’s music has evolved recently. Shifting from academic techno structures in his previous work, to a more brutal and edgy aesthetic, François has definitely unleashed his productive spirit.

The opening track “Forever’ N' 'Fever' represents a prime example of this imaginative boiling mind, setting off the EP’s murky tone with its evocative trappish vibe. This driving effervescence brings out a remarkable plurality in the tonalities of the compositions, swinging between the prompt and fiery club-ready atmosphere of "Lone Wolf Cabin'' to the ecstatic and emotive chemistry of "Shame Stare". This paradoxical structure can also inform us about its creator, as a retranscription of the emotions that run through him.

Challenging his role as an artist, the selfishness that comes with it and the limit of his dedication, François X is acting as a contemporary cow-boy, deeply entwined with his utopian dreams.

As Putin's Invasion continues, the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine is deteriorating by the day.
Civil Deaths are increasing, millions of innocent people are on the run.
Each passing day, Russian forces rage on, destroying Ukrainian cities, shattering the lives of millions of people
..and there's no end in sight.
Showing cohesion and solidarity is now more important than ever.
It goes without saying that we as Schimmer Records are supporting the ukrainians and tackle the crisis by all our avaiable means.
In addition to signing petitions, attending demonstrations, sharing facts and using our voice to create widespread and sustained awareness of the situation,
we decided to raise funds to support the people in Ukraine directly.
More than 30 Artists and Friends from all over the world, joined our project and offered their services free of charge.

Conundrum is an underground techno label from Los Angeles, USA and the new release is from the label boss himself, Stephen Disario.

Stephen Disario is proving himself as a producer making the right moves by playing regularly around the Americas, Canada and into Europe with line-ups including the likes of Speedy J, Drumcell, Rebekah, Ø [Phase], Etapp Kyle and many more. Also a skilled producer, his music has been released on Vinicius Honorio's Liberta, Robert Hoff's trau-ma and Planet Rhythm.

Ketch is an Italian artist and owner of the SYXT and Glukkon labels. He has also released music on TWR72's Float, Temudo & VIL's HAYES, as well as remixing Truncate for his self titled imprint.

Expect to hear raw and hypnotic vibes, sci-fi textures with punchy, atmospheric, analogue grooves...

Brasilian Arthur Maccari debuts on Solid Tracks with a 4-track e.p., The Looming Crisis, featuring 3 original tracks and a remix from Berlin-based ogtrues.

Starting off with Inspection Chamber, Maccari's sound is centered around driving rhythms and rolling basslines with edgy synth stabs layered on top, setting the tone for the rest of the e.p. Next up, ogtrues ups the tempo and delivers a deeper and minimal rendition of Inspection Chamber. Moving to the title track, The Looming Crisis, which uses a captivating vocal hook over funkier tones, making it perfect dancefloor material. Ending with This is Not a Rehearsal, a track co-produced with Melbourne's Lumertz, both artists delve into a darker, hypnotic groove that will get heads turning.
