What is fruitful, alone is true -
You test the general rule,
It will switch according to its way,
Join the smallest band.

And as of old, in silence,
A work of love according to his own will
The philosopher, the poet created,

Vernunft sei überall zugegen,

Dann ist Vergangenheit beständig,
Das Künftige voraus lebendig,
Der Augenblick ist Ewigkeit.
