My music career began at the age of 6 when I received a guitar from my parents. I learned two chords and formed my first band. Our equipment was a puppet piano, two washing drums and a guitar. Between the ages of 12 and 15 I played in several bands with friends. Big role models were Jimi Hendrix, Doors, Janis Joplin, Alwin Lee etc. I was mainly influenced by Krautrock bans like Can, Groschnitt and Eloy. In the meantime I was able to improvise a few barre chords, mainly using the blues scale. But practicing was never my thing. So I automatically only progressed a step further when I liked a new riff. Music has always been an integral part of my work with children and people with disabilities. In 1990 I founded the band “Kroklowafzi” with friends, and later I played in the “Karl Grass Companie” purely for the joy of music, without any professional ambitions (audio samples are available on YouTube on my SoundCloud channel). During this time I had the opportunity to record my music in multiple tracks for the first time. Everything was still very amateurish and chaotic. After a divorce, I ended up on the streets and went into a psychotic episode. I now had 6 children to support but couldn't work. During this time, my brother gave me a music program that I could use to remaster my recordings from the last few years.

Karla Lynette is a singer, songwriter, and music producer known for crafting emotionally rich and memorable songs. In May 2023, she signed a co-publishing deal with Mark S. Berry, gold- and platinum-selling producer, engineer, and mixer, and chairman of AMG/Sony/TheAMGCorp.com.

Berry’s legendary career spans music, film, and television, working with Grammy and Juno-nominated artists such as Carly Simon, Paul McCartney, and David Bowie. Through this partnership, Karla has established herself as a creative force behind the scenes, writing, producing, and recording music that connects deeply with audiences worldwide—without stepping on stage.

I am a self-taught musician, having learned piano and some guitar. I performed live at the BCMA Country Music Awards in London, hosted by Alvin Stardust. I’ve co-written with BigChrisFlores from Rehab Studio in LA and worked  with Simon Whitworth of the 1980s famous boys pop band I.G. Orange. also worked with music and video producer Jeffrey Panzer.
