World Percussion

That was my first time attending what feels for a long time like my home turf as a DJ and not as a dancer.
When the staff and I lit the candles at the altar, just before the session started, Nofar asked for "playfulness". I saw her request and raised it to "Naughtiness". ;-P
Soon after, what started off as a loooooong musical "edging", soon transformed into a huge sweeping ecstatic wave - ascending and descending for about an hour, actually comprised of various mini-waves - before it died out and blended perfectly into Nofar's majestic and heaven-like live music.

CHAKARUNA

Del Parche Al Sampler (DPAS) is an online workshop of digital production oriented to folklore taught by producer and composer Lauphan (Rosario) and DJ and cultural manager Villa Diamante (Buenos Aires).
This compilation contains tracks composed by artists who went through the workshop during 2021, new promises of music with sensitivity between folkloric and digital.
In this alliance between Fértil and DPAS we intend to give visibility to a series of restless producers who have been investigating the language of sound mestizaje, opening the frontiers of electronic music to rhythms and sounds of roots.

From organic downtempo of La Forastera and Nayaim, to the 6/8 rhythms of Simone, the electro-folkloric song of Namirí, the urban cumbiero sound of Hachezeta to the dubby sound of Chaco Boreal, Circuitos Volátiles and Lionel, different experiments have been possible. Stay tuned for more DPAS volumes to come.

We welcome back the Panamanian Palka for his 2nd outing on Earthly Measures - Panamá Libre is a rich and flavourful combination of an array of electronic genres with organic/acoustic instrumentals. An international melting pot : the EP combines African and Latin instruments with Indian and Japanese vocals from Anisha Pillay and mimismooth. It offers a multicultural deep downtempo atmosphere, from World Breaks to Afro Vibes and deep Folktronica.
