Blană is an euphonious project by Danish Ana Katarina, founder of DJ Social Club, resident at Hanoian label Magic Box Engine and Melbournian collective Rewired Rhythms.

Her adventure into music kickstarted in 2017 while travelling through Romania, where she met multiple like-minded people who introduced her to the Romanian minimal sound. She fell in love with the deep rominimal groove and decided to become a DJ in order to bring this sound with her and share it with the world.

In 2019 Blană was busy spreading her signature sound onto Vietnamese dance floors all the way from Sapa to Saigon. While spending most of her time in Hanoi she soon became a resident at Magic Box Engine and This is events.

Arriving in Melbourne only at the beginning of 2020 she is fairly new to the Australian scene. In April 2021 she launched DJ Social Club Open Decks, an event for all music lovers and spinners to connect, create and evolve. This is a safe space for DJs across all levels and genres to meet up, share and explore music together.

Next into the FOUR HEADS mix series is Holding Hands label boss Desert Sound Colony; The timing of which couldn’t be more apt given the majority of us find ourselves in self-isolation - a strange, alien town where artistry is more welcome than ever as a means to help us seek positive inspiration and take comfort through temporary escapism.

A regular at leading clubs & festivals including Panorama Bar, fabric, Love International, and Dimensions, DSC (Liam) is a foundation of Europe's underground scene, with various heavyweights keeping a watchful eye over his productions, including Four-Tet, Midland, Lena Willikens, and the late, great: Andrew Weatherall.

Liam has been a key artist on Nick Höppner's 'Touch From A Distance' label, and seen previous releases on imprints such as Futureboogie Recordings, Snap Crackle & Pop and more recently Moxie's On Loop.

Liam's contribution to the FOUR HEADS mix series is a true reflection of his wide-ranging & eclectic output from over the years via his production, DJ Sets and label curation - Fresh, forward-thinking and fast-moving. Enjoy
