Tribe Nation - Peak Hour Spring 2021 - Episode 65

This set was made to welcome Rod "Rocket Junior" to Florida.
For those of you that remember and attended the club Cameo on South Beach on a Sunday night back in the late 90's and into the 2000's know that this was the place to be.
There was always a door person and a list.  The line was at times a block long to get in.  I had the opportunity to DJ here twice before it closed its doors.  The Sunday night party was called Anthem or Crobar.

Oh how I miss White Party Week in Miami & Sobe.  WP use to commence during the week of Thanksgiving.  I had the pleasure of DJing numerous parties in multiple years.  The highlights for me were always the Saturday Pool Party T-Dance Under One Sun, Saturday night The White Party and the Sunday Muscle Beach Party.  
I had been to The White party when it was at the historic Vizcaya Mansion and also at the Miami Seaquarium.  Muscle Beach Party was always held at the 12th Street Gay Beach across from the famous Versace Mansion.  Hope you enjoy this set.

Only got to spin here once.  I did enjoy my set and venue was very cozy feeling.  This set has quite the mix of music in it.  Everything from Disco, to the 80's, 90's, 2000's and today.  Many of the songs in this set I have only used once or twice while spinning or recording my sets.  I wanted to challenge myself with this set with using music from many era's.
I do believe that Avalon is now House of Blues, but I may be wrong.  I do not know if it is LGBTQ+ on any night anymore as the last time I DJ'ed there was in 2010.

I’m so ready to dance again as the world finally starts to normalize… and this high-energy set full of new tracks and revisited classics includes incredible production work from so many friends and peers including amazing Americans Stephen Jusko, Brett Oosterhaus,  J Warren, Joe Gauthreaux, and Dirty Disco, awesome Aussies Dan Slater, and Dom de Sousa & Jason Conti, incredible Israelis Guy Scheiman, and Yinon Yahel & Mor Avrahami, brilliant Brazilians Leanh and Rafael Barreto, fantastic Filipino Toy Armada, and many more!

The set also includes the great Greek god GSP's remix of "The Warrior" and a first listen of Stephen Jusko and I’s new remix of “Crazy” from my friend — and incredible “America’s Got Talent” finalist — Brian Justin Crum (yes, covering Britney!) The full remix package is available on May 28th on Queen House Music.

If you’re new to my podcast, each episode of my #PugLife series is a journey — in progressive house and high-energy dance music. Each set starts out with a tech-house warm-up before kicking into the peak hour zone. About 3/4ths of the way through, I go into a short darker and trancier place, before switching gears and launching into uplifting tracks and classics towards the end!

Atlantis Gay Cruises always have themed parties.  I went out on a limb and themed this set after the 1980's.    This is in since an "audition" set for the 30th Anniversary Cruise in January 2022.  All of the songs on this set were either originally recorded or released in the 1980's.  The original artists may not be singing the tracks on this set.

DJ D-STU, Dennis Stuart, began deejaying in 2007 in Fort Lauderdale at a nightclub called the Coliseum.  D-STU’s influencers in DJ’s Manny Lehman, GRIND, Drew G, Roland Belmares, Joe Pacheco, Nick Stracener, Edson Pride, Hex Hector, Joe Gauthreaux, Nina Flowers & Edu Quintas.  D-STU has deejayed all over the country and all of the world spinning at massive festivals and parties including Winter Party Festival (Miami), Black & Blue Festival (Montreal), GayDayS (Orlando), Sydney Gay Mardi Gras, Market Days (Chicago), Aspen Gay Ski Week, Folsom Street Fair (San Francisco), Prism (Toronto), Rapture (Vancouver), Cherry (D.C.), Southern Decadence (New Orleans), White Party Weekend (Miami) to name a few and at some of the largest clubs around including Discotekka (Miami), Score (Miami Beach), The Cuff (Seattle), ARQ (Sydney), G.A.Y. (London), Eagle (Wilton Manors), Eagle (Dallas), Eagle (Austin), Eagle (OKC),, Unity (Montreal), Towne (D.C.), Oz (New Orleans) to name a few.  D-STU’s style is under the “circuit music” label. His return to the “circuit” commenced in January 2022 as he deejayed the Atlantis Cruise Bon Voyage Party at Twist on South Beach in Miami.  D-STU made his return to GayDayS in Orlando in the summer of 2023 after a 6-year hiatus.  DJ D-STU made his RAM Party debut at HalloWOOF in Dallas alongside DJ’s Paulo & House of Labs. June, 2024, D-STU spun the premier OMW party, RIPTIDE Party at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoona in association with OMW (One Magical Weekend) & Bear Jamboree.
