Ukrainian Village Voices is a culturally diverse group of folk singers and community organizers, uniting members of the Ukrainian community and the larger folk music community. Activity and membership is largely based in the New York City Metro area including the mid-Hudson region.

Since 2013, the ensemble has performed for various audiences in the United States and Canada, in venues ranging from folk music and seasonal festivals to museums, theaters, libraries to street and webcast concerts.

UVV also regularly organizes singing workshops led by accomplished musicians and scholars from near and abroad. Workshops have been led by groups such as DakhaBrakha, Kosa Kolektiv, and the Koliadnyky from Krivoryvnia, as well as by masters Marichka Kudriavtseva (Bozhychi), Julian Kytasty, Andriy Milavsky (Cheres), Ihor Perevertniuk (Drevo), Mariana Sadovska, Halyna Shepko (Korinya), Maria Sonevytsky (Zozulka, Hilka), and Nadia Tarnawsky (Alchymeia).

Repertoire is constantly evolving, but often focuses on seasonal celebrations and lyrical music. UVV invites interested singers to participate in their workshops and weekly rehearsals. Please reach out to them via this Facebook page or UkrainianVillageVoices@gmail.com.
