Crossroads

I have been so touched and moved by the simply human aspects of the brave Ukrainian people. Losing everything ... yet trying to make sure even their pets are safe ... and missing some of life's simpler things, such as otherwise banal daily routines ... that we all take for granted.

Building up some new repertoire for the 2025 season. Always wanted to try this song! 

500 Miles (I'm gonna be)

Been meaning to try and create a track for this for years. Always a challenge trying to find the right sounds (have a decent B3 module!) Getting the vocals half way decent is always a challenge with McCartney (his voice lies about a 3rd higher than mine!) Always fun working on the guitar solo(s) from Harrison. Hope you enjoy!

Lost … no clear direction … where to go from here
How … when there’s no protection
Every safe haven has just … disappeared
Seems so calculated … seems so evil
No sense of justice … no sense of will
To make it stop

Witness … on every channel … prime time genocide
The virtual death of democracy
Condemnation … outrage from everywhere
But that doesn’t stop the bombs … 
Or the suffering … or the despair

You and I, we watch and cry, and wonder why … 
Our leaders do nothing
As it goes on and on
What’s right or wrong is so obvious
But they talk and talk and talk and do nothing
And the innocent … die

But at least the orange racoon gets the attention he wants
And nutty yahoo delays a criminal prosecution 
Avoiding every possible solution
And the madman in Moscow will only stop
When the rest of the world grows a pair
It really doesn’t matter how many die … just to satisfy
