O DeSkaReggae Sound System foi criado em 2011 em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, inspirado nos antigos sistemas de som que se tornaram popular na Jamaica na década de 1950. A equipe é composta por Leo Vidigal, Rafael Rosa (Ruffah), Pedro Varella e Yuga, que decidiram se reunir para agregar o conhecimento e acervo musical de cada integrante com o objetivo de realizar eventos e festas para divulgar os gêneros musicais da Jamaica e promover a diversão. Fazem parte da crew do DeSkaReggae: Lucas Rasta, Monkey Jhayam (SP), Alex C. e Matt Man (Prince Fatty – UK).
