After a brief hiatus we are back with CKFM edition 101 & it is worth the wait. 

A definite kindred spirit to us here at Craigie Knowes, he's been doing it better & longer than most. We met in person for the first time earlier on in the year, ate a large amount of Italian food & chatted about music for a few hours before going to support our friends who were playing at Subculture. An unplanned but very much welcomed first meeting.

Raised on a diet of Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Punk and Reggae, turntables were a natural progression for this Bristol born, Welsh rooted DJ and Producer Owain K (Owain Kimber). After discovering the sounds of bootleg mixtapes and Techno as a youngster in the 90s, he's never been one for sitting still. 

Owain has kindly provided the tracklist for those of you so inclined, we're guessing most of you will be with the quality of the mix.

July’s Verdant Session is another mixed bag of solid beats on the deeper end of the techno and electro spectrum with old tunes still sounding fresh next some picks of the last months releases.   Emotive breaks from Sound Synthesis (Distant Worlds)  Mike Schommer introducing some squelchy basslines into a fine remix of StillHead on the Primary Colours, melodic and cascading layers of breaks from Kangding Ray just out on Spazio Disponibile and chunky dubby vibes from both Merv, Jamie Anderson with Owain K with their recent releases on Kontakt and Were Going Deep respectively.
