My remastered version of the Cameo classic ' Word up ' recorded over one day  with GUN featuring drummer Scott Shields ( Joe strummer & the mescaleros)  , lead guitarist Alex Dickson ( Robbie Williams ) , the Gizzi brothers and Mark Rankin (vocal) . Having seen the reaction to this covered live the notion to capture a recording  I eventually initiated on a B side session after 9 months assisting with the making of "gallus ' the 2nd Gun Lp . The rerecording for Guns 3rd album with a new line up was a huge success achieving MTV cover of the year status
