The origin of this particular track can be traced back to 1992, when similar song was rejected by my then-band (A Herd Of The Rushing Vises) in which I played on a bass guitar. The lyrics of this song expressed our hidden intentions to leave our hometown in which we grew up for good. At that time, we really wanted to escape from the small-town mentality of our local community, where everyone knew almost everything about everyone else. Back then, we were under the irresistible impression that this place was slowly (but surely) killing our dreams and ambitions. 30 years later: my hometown has become a foggy and unrealistically distant dreamland. However, I still miss the atmosphere of this small town and all those incredible people who knew me so well.

Kamil Walczak is a solo artist, session musician, songwriter and music producer, who works tirelessly on several projects simultaneously. His musical journey began in the early 1990s when he played drums as a session musician. In 1992-93, he was a bassist of the Polish coldwave band, A Herd Of The Rushing Vises, which broke up after recording a demo tape "The Bad Place” (1993). Since then, he has been writing lyrics, composing and arranging songs. Since 2019, he is associated with the Metronome School of Music and Recording Studio in New York City. Among his releases are: 4 EPs (“Obscured By Gothism”, "Alternative Obscurity", “Overblown By Animosity”, "Alternative Animosity"), 4 singles (“Never Say It's Over”, "Someplace Safe", "Take Me There!", "A Coldwave Summer Breeze"), the singles collection ("By Goth Means Essential..."), and 2 full-length studio albums ("By All Means Necessary...", "By All Means Alternative..."). He is currently working on his next gothic album ("The Torchbearer Of Gothism"), being also involved in other music projects (Em & Double-U, Hanging Graveyard, Bloodmooners, Em & Triple-U).
