"When Jade first asked me to collaborate on this project I was initially struck by a piece of advice Jade had received from Norm Hartley – ‘Always listen to your bike’ 

 Naively, I’d overlooked how important sound is to the rider. It is much more than the healthy chug of an idling engine - it’s a conversation between mechanical parts. It’s a choir of complex harmony and rhythm of different elements working in sequence. 

With the sonic materials Jade captured, we explored the mechanical attributes through repetition and layering to emulate an organic and meditative sound collage, that hints at the almost human body-like vulnerability of an engine in action".
