Convoy of Hope, a global, faith-based, nonprofit organization that works with communities to address root causes of poverty and hunger.
Every school day Convoy of Hope feeds 639,000 children in 39 countries, empowers women in micro-enterprise, and trains farmers in sustainable agriculture.
Hal has received numerous public service awards. He has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies from Bethany University.


During a recent volunteering event with Missouri Farm Bureau members, Hal sat down with President Hawkins to discuss Convoy of Hope's mission and how they've grown into one of the 50 largest charities in the United States, according to Forbes.

If you have spent time in southwest Missouri over the past 40 years, you’ve probably seen or visited the western store mecca PFI (Preferred Farmers Incorporated). Overlooking Hwy 65 in Springfield, the business was the place to shop for all things western, and their tagline “…and I’m not kidding” was a mainstay on TV commercials across the Ozarks. Former owner, Randy Little, sold PFI a few years ago, but he’s still engaged in the business community and Missouri’s agriculture industry.
