Hikuri Roots is a DJ from Jupiter. With unknown years of experience in the music industry, he has honed a unique sound that combines Funk, Disco, Afro, Latin, Jazz, Vintage & Avant garde alien sounds. Hikuri Roots began experimenting with music production at a young age, and quickly discovered a passion for mixing rare grooves and hard to find gems. He began performing at local clubs and events, quickly gaining a reputation as a rising talent in the Tulum music scene.​
In 2010, Hikuri Roots began touring internationally as a resident DJ for the Works Entertainment, ( a production company owned by Cirque Du Soleil ) performing in several countries throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, America & Oceania his eclectic and uplifting sets received critical acclaim and helped establish him as a force to be reckoned with in the World House community. Since then, he has performed at some important festivals such as Hulaween, Burning man, Fusion and iconic venues around the world like the Sydney opera house. With a style that's both cutting-edge and rooted in tradition, Hikuri Roots has a talent for connecting with audiences and taking them on a journey through sound. Whether he's playing a festival stage or a intimate club, Hikuri Roots performances are always high-energy and unforgettable.
Hikuri Roots is currently working on new music, touring & expanding his radio station on Twitch, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in electronic music.
