On this playlist I would like to publish all music projects that were created in collaboration with other musicians. The beginning is now my joint music project with the Delmonia Band. Next is a collaboration with the great singer Sue, who wants to sing my song "Bipolarstern" in her own way. And in the course of the next few years more and more wonderful co-productions with other artists are to be created.

In May 18 Khalid from the Delmonia Band asked me to write a vocal melody and a text for his beautiful instrumental trace. I should then sing this to his instrumental part. Already at the first hearing of his melancholy instrumental sounds a melody rose in me and at the same time a longing to simply stand on the street and hitchhike somewhere as I did as a young person. And it was from this feeling that the lyrics to the song "Fernweh" were born. Unfortunately, there is no such word in English. I can only rewrite it with "Yearning for beeing far away". 
In essence, the lyrics are addressed to all those who find themselves in a threshold or even crisis situation in their lives. The old familiar has become ailing and shabby, you have to come out of this rotting loops, you long for liberation, for a paradigm shift, for a new beginning, but you don't know how and where yet.

All You Can Eat

I wrote the song "Bipolarstern" in spring 2017 and posted it with my vocals on the album "Under my own Vol. 1" Janur 2018 on SoundCloud. With the lyrics I try to describe something, what all people may be longing for: The overcoming of inner divisions and the attainment of a deep integrity.
The musician Sue liked this song so much that in June 2018 she asked me to sing the vocals to my instrumental track in her own way. For me this collaboration is an honour, because Sue sang the tracks of Whitney Houston, which reach over several octaves, with her beautiful voice.
The version of "Bipolarstern" posted here is shortened by about 2 minutes compared to the original and starts after a piano and guitar intro with the lovely voice of Sue.

When I talked about women with men in the past, I often thought there is something wrong with me. There was boast of how the women were conquered and laid up. I can still hear some of those pompous and bragging sayings today.
I, on the other hand, was always more of a shy man who felt attracted to autonomous, intelligent, sensitive and unconventional women. Women who lured me out of my poetic snail shell rather than the other way around.
And this song tells of my first encounter with such a wonderful woman in Berlin in the 1980s.

A spontaneous cooperation between me and my beloved son Freddy. Almost in one take. Yesterday, Friday, 1.3.2019, we felt like singing about the upcoming spring with an eight year old song of mine (to be heard on my SC account on my private album "Talibu" in a still quite lamented version). Freddy on the percussions and me on the guitar and singing.  
And for me a relaxed return to the basics (simply guitar, vocals and percussion) in view of the sometimes more and more complex tracks that have come to my mind lately. And also a song with a rather optimistic mood, which is a bit in contrast to my rather melancholic songwriter disposition.

Another collaboration with my son Freddy.
How to deal with chronic pain? In 2013 I made the last attempt to combat recurring physical pain with tablets and various treatments. Everything did not help and actually only made it worse.- Until I understood on a meditative walk that it is about accepting this pain unconditionally, to see it as a friend and good companion, who comes to visit me again and again, especially when I have pushed something away or ignored it.
Freddy, who experienced this time, accompanied me during the recording of this track on the acoustic guitar.

This song is about the counterpart to love: hatred and the associated need for revenge and retaliation. 
Another collaboration with my son Freddy (played parts of the guitar and percussion). And my attempt to play the piano as the main instrument and to accompany my singing with it.

Deutscher Singer-Songwriter über fünfzig Jahre alt. Seit fast vierzig Jahren schreibe und singe ich Lieder. Mein Hauptinstrument ist die akustische Gitarre, aber ich mag auch Perkussionsinstrumente (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). Ich liebe es, melancholische und poetische Balladen zu komponieren. Aber manchmal schreibe ich auch (schwarze) humorvolle Songs, Jazzstyle und -Rocksongs. Meine Hauptsprache ist Deutsch. Aber in Zukunft will ich mehr Songs auf Englisch und vereinzelt auch Französisch schreiben.
In meinen Kompositionen bin ich inspiriert von Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Jacques Brel, Van Morrison und Bob Dylan. Auf meinen Platten spiele und singe ich alles alleine. Meine Vision für die Zukunft ist es, Musiker aus verschiedenen Kulturen zu finden, die gerne ihre Tracks mit mir teilen wollen.
Mein persönliches Mantra ist ein Satz, der von Paul Mccartney auf dem Beatles-Album "Abbey Road auf dem Track "In the end" vor fast Fünfzig Jahren geschrieben wurde:

Die Liebe, die Du bekommst ist gleich der Liebe, die Du gibst.

German singer-songwriter over fifty years old. For almost forty years I have been writing and singing songs. My main instrument is the acoustic guitar, but I also like percussion instruments (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). I love composing melancholic and poetic ballads.
