A small local German phenomena that shaped today's music from techno to hiphop, to punk, metal & postrock. David Bowie flew back in the days to Berlin to study the "krautrockers". Krautrock stood for total freedom as a resistance from the 70's youngsters against the fascist past of Germany & its institutions also as a resistance against to pop & glamour rock star status of the 70's & US imported music, supporting & creating a local scene celebrating local young German artists. Krautrock broke down all existing rules in music & it was often faceless. Everything from psychedelic rock, improvisational jazz, electronic, funk, avant-garde, and progressive rock encompassed the technicality of krautrock.

Jayeness is proud to present ‘Back 2 the Basics’. This EP focusses on that 90’s hip-hop feeling and is a first shot at introducing the crowd to a Phatmark release. It features 6 tracks, plus a bonustrack ‘Raw relics’, that got included at the very end of the proces.

All tracks were produced, mixed and mastered by Samoerai with co-production of JaJa on the track ` ‘Back 2 the Basics’.

All the cuts on the album were provided by Dj King D.
