We'd describe ourselves as unpolished with dashes of introspection, cynicism, irony & humour. Tom Robinson describes us as ‘optimistic jangle fuzz merchants’.

We're very pleased to have had lots of radio play & positive feedback from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Introducing East Midlands, Radio Caroline & Exile FM Radio amongst others. We’ve also been chosen several times as a Fresh On The Net 'Fresh Fave'.

Despite being quite a reclusive band with modest ambitions - we like our music to be heard outside of our own heads!

Echomatica is an Auckland-based 4-piece project carving a niche in atmospheric alternative pop and indie electronica. Honing a sound both nostalgic and fresh, they weave moody ambience with melodic drive and lush, cinematic tones. 

Often sharing stages with acoustic, pop, punk, and art-noise acts, they’ve become known for atmospheric performances that resonate with both introspective listeners and late-night crowds as they explore the spaces between dreamy electronica and DIY indie.
