Olivier Gobelet is a french DJ/musician based in Leipzig, Germany. Among other projects he is member of the DJ collective The Magical Flying Love Lab and of the experimental electronic combo Poplar Bluff.
Times dreamy and melancholic, times dark and explosive, his sets are a constant surprise, unmarked trips through space and time that deliver a weird vision of music history where caribbean oldies can meet experimental techno and codein hip-hop mingles with tribal psychedelia.

Sofa Beats Series continues w/ Portugal duo ZEN RACOON by the artists also known as Zen Baboon.

Zen Racoon are Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã. Both were born in the 70`s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the musical world, focusing on great sound quality and original construction. Daniel is a sound engineer that worked in a studio in Lisbon and started producing electronic music in the late 90′s. Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm and started as an ambient DJ, ( ̈DJ Henriq ̈) and producer in 2001. They got together in 2003 and decided to melt their musical preferences and create Zen Racoon.

El Búho aka Robin Perkins was born in the rolling hills of northern England but found his musical home in the forests of Latin America. His music blends together the rhythms, mythologies and melodies of his adopted continent with the sound of waterfalls, birdsongs, crackling leaves and a modern electronic aesthetic. The result is a dreamy, deep, melodic journey that entrances as much through headphones as it does on the dancefloor.

He has released music on Wonderwheel Recordings, ZZK Records and Antartek and collaborated with producers and musicians like Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santanna, Chancha Via Circuito, Mercedes Nasta, Lagartijeando, Matanza and Barrio Lindo

He also co-runs global artists collective Shika Shika and coodinated the non-profit album “A Guide to the Birdsong of South America”. Currently based in Paris, France he has played or lived in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Seoul, Amsterdam, Glasgow and more.
