Holy Island, an island off of the coast of North Wales is where Dez Williams begun spinning wax at an early age and now maintains his humble analogue / digital studio. Isolated from the marketing, fashion and pretentious attitudes that plague the music industry, Dez is free to express himself through his machines. 

Safe from this environment he is unconstrained and has no urge to conform with any ideal or aesthetic and thus his electronic music is pure self expression. A window into his soul. His day job at an electronic components factory means that he is no stranger to repetition, rhythm and electronics. 

His sound is perhaps a product of his daily grind with boredom, escapism, events in his life and a long term passion for technology, horror and science fiction. Inspired by many of the classic Chicago / Detroit / Electro / Techno producers, like the finest, his sound is unique, uncompromising and unpredictable. His vision of Techno is deep and futuristic with a heavy dose of Funk. 

Dez's passion for sound and the darker side of the human spirit compels him to create tracks on an almost daily basis and  he sits on an incredibly vast archive of cassettes, mini-discs and CD's of his work. Yet his reclusive nature dictates that his release schedule remains sparse. His tracks can range from driving Techno, to melancholy and dark synthesizer orchestrations, ghostly deep listening, straight up Electro cuts and beyond. Sometimes simple, sometimes complex, within his sounds are vast amounts of detail for the listener to decipher. Emotions transmitted through mathematics and code. 

Williams' tracks have found their way into the sets of DJ's like Dave Clarke, Andrea Parker, Adam X, John Peel, Ellen Allien, Mike Dred, Rob Hall and many more.

He has constantly retained an underground / cult fanbase. His debut LP 'Elektronik Religion' for the SCSI label was hailed as "One of the very few truly great Electro albums of the new century". Dez remains true to the underground and simply creates for the love and need to do so. The mark of a true artist. 

He continues to DJ and play live sets worldwide and has had releases on a variety of record labels including  Bedouin, Earwiggle, Trust, Minimal Soul, Warmdata, Acruacree, Ai, Cheap, SCSI-AV, Blase, Voodoo, and Ben Sims' Native imprint.

We are back in the Spanish capital to meet Dead Violets Night, founder of the platform El Garaje de Frank.  She’s a French DJ based in Madrid who started her music career at an early age being part of several metal groups.  Not long ago, she decided to change those guitars and organic elements to a couple of turntables and a more electronic frame, the outcome couldn’t have been more appealing. Her sets are a blend of dark genres such as EBM, acid, techno, industrial, or -as on this occasion- electro; a versatility that led her to become a resident DJ at Bizarro in one of our favourite clubs, Specka. A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. The sixth episode, dedicated to the Madrid-based record label "Noise To Meet You", is mixed by Vronsky (@michael-vronsky).

Noise To Meet You was born in 2018 as a music label project aimed to provide a space where
artists that haven’t seen their music released on vinyl could have the opportunity to do so, along
with renowned ones who have been setting trends and providing quality music for years.

A Madrid-based electro label focused on the emotional side of the genre without losing sight of
the dance floor when it comes to its raw and powerful touch. On top of that, the talented
Spanish designer Anita Plástica is in charge of creating the artwork, that characteristic dystopian
visual universe bound to electro.

So far, artists such as The Exaltics, Teslasonic, Synth Alien or Delayscape have seen their tracks
released on the label, together with newcomers such as EBE-2, Module 3F or Zobol, among many
others. Up to now, and with seven limited edition releases in the market, the 8th is scheduled
for January 2023, and two more are in the making for the last part of the year.

With the same wide-ranging approach, Noise To Meet You podcast series offers, every two
weeks, a platform for both famed, newcomers and local talents to express themselves in front
of a growing audience. 214, Francois Dillinger, Plant43, Ivna Ji, and Lloyd Stellar have already
been a part of it.

Last but not least, Noise To Meet You brings together, now and again, its beloved followers at
one of the most iconic clubs in Madrid's underground scene to celebrate their very own N2MU
nights. After two successful parties, get ready for the upcoming third one!
