B-band is an independent Iranian music band and is not affiliated with any ethnic, political, or religious organization.

Formed in Tehran, Iran in 2009, B-band is an Iranian Alternative Rock band with three main members: Kasra, Hamed, and Behzad. Their lyrics are in Farsi, while their music is a mixture of Rock, Grunge and Electronics with a taste of Persian folklore.
Scattered around different parts of the world, B-band is a long-distance collaboration between a group of friends who once lived in Iran and migrated to other countries over the past few years.

Although the band has not had many live shows in recent years, they have been in close touch with their loyal fan base through social media, and have released their songs online using digital distribution platforms

Raam is an Iranian musician. He started his musical career as the singer/songwriter/founder of Hypernova. Between touring with his band and performing his solo theater piece "Departure," Raam has also started a podcast (in Persian) called Masty o Rasty.

Born in 1976 in Khorasan province, one of epicenters of poetry and music north east of Iran, Mohsen Namjoo is a Singer Songwriter, Music scholar and Setar (traditional Persian lute) player currently based in New York City. Featured on many world renowned press such as NY Times, The Guardian, BBC, LA times and many more Namjoo is considered a visionary artist who speaks for the youth in Iran. Seamlessly blending the Classical Persian music and scales with electric guitar,Rock and Blues vocal techniques with Persian Avaz (singing). He fuses the ancient with the current. His unique style of singing and effortless mixture of music from east and west has made him an iconic persona in contemporary world music.

Since his arrival to the U.S. in 2009, Namjoo has been touring the world to sold out concerts at prestigious halls including Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco; Conservatorio Sala Verdi, Milan, Italy;  Disney Hall and Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles, Barbican Hall, London, Symphony Space NYC, Volkswagen Arena Istanbul and many more. He is one of the few middle eastern artists who has following all across the world from Tehran to New York to Melbourne to Istanbul to Berlin and many more cities.

Bamdad Afshar (born in 1986, Tehran) is a real multi-talent: music composer, sound designer, art director, record producer, and film score composer.

He graduated with an MFA in music and has since worked on over forty productions for film and theatre. He brought his personal note to many collaborations with artists such as Hooshyar Khayyam, Hossein Alizadeh, Homayoun Shajarian, Amir Reza Koohestani.

Furthermore he is a university lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran, Tehran University and Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran Azad University. Amongst other disciplines, he is teaching sound in performing arts, music technology, electronic music production and music in puppetry!

Bamdad has been conducting research on urban soundscapes of Tehran for several years. Since 2017, when he formed Otagh Band, his work has taken an interdisciplinary direction, combining sound art, electronic music composition and experimental practice of robotic performance art.

He currently leads Otagh Band, overseeing the collective’s artistic direction and productions, alongside his role as university lecturer and theatre and film score composer. In 2020 he won the prestigious price for “best soundtrack” at Fajr International Film Festival.

Shahin Najafi is a musician, poet, singer, and social activist. He was born in 1980 to a middle-class family in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran, the youngest of eight children. He started writing poetry and learning to play classical and flamenco guitar in his teens. He turned to rock music, often performing as an underground musician.

As a young activist, Shahin's lyrics often conveyed strong and controversial messages about Iranian society. This attracted the disapproval of Iranian authorities and in 2004, the threat of persecution forced him to leave Iran.
In 2005, Shahin moved to Germany. Dubbed the "angry bard", he continued to write and perform music that was critical of conditions in Iran: poverty, oppression of women, homophobia, censorship, ideological dogmas, violence and cultural taboos. For a time, his career veered into rap and hip hop, bringing him fame among young fans back in Iran. These days, Shahin's music fuses rock, jazz, and blues with lyrics that demand change.

In 2012, Shahin released his most controversial song: Naghi. In it, he exhorts a Shiite Imam named Naghi to help solve some of the problems plaguing Iran. But religious hardliners called the song an insult to Imams, a crime severely punished in Iran, and used Fatwas (religious edicts) to demand his death. Around the world, politicians, scholars, musicians, and devoted fans rose to Shahin’s defence, propelling him into the limelight as a proponent of free speech.

In 2013, Shahin Najafi's book Wenn Gott Schläft (When God is Asleep) was published. This collection of his original poems, lyrics and observations tell of his personal struggles with religion and provide searing insights into the true nature of Iranian society.

Shahin Najafi lives in Germany, and is still at odds with Iranian authorities. He remains a dedicated and defiant artist who refuses to be silenced, delivering his message to enthusiastic audiences wherever he tours. His fan base continues strong in Iran and has spread around the world.
