Bio:
As moral was low and faced with an uphill task of navigating the music space during an
Overhanging global health crises; a band that was making steady strides had come to a point
Of breaking up. 
However, they decided to light themselves up and shine with all the self-belief they could
gather, regrouped and called themselves SIKA KOKOO to offer their brand of thick
pulsating Highlifemusic that on any day excites the dance floor; socially distanced or not and
gives good feeling to a world waking   up from disaster.
Deriving its name from the Gold color of the Ghanaian flag, “SIKA KOKOO BAND” is an ever-thrilling Ghanaian band made up of energetic Youth from diverse regions of Ghana. With their unique blend of the Ghanaian folklore blended into modern genres of music makes them a delight to watch.
The band currently is made up of eight (8) members blending indigenous sounds from trumpet, trombone, percussions, guitars and keyboards with very soothing but energetic live performances. Their unique repertoire and compositions will call the attention of music lovers world over.
All their unique compositions are arranged and produced by Padmore Owusu Kwarteng – the leader and keyboardist of the group. Watch out for this group and brace yourself for an authentic African rhythm from SIKA KOKOO.
The band performed at the FETE DE LA MUSIQUE, ASA NEW YEAR MUSIC JAM, and others. The band was selected for SAUTI ZA BUSARA 2021 but couldn’t go because of the lock down in Ghana.
The band performs compositions that range from Highlife, Afrobeat, Afrofunk, Palmwine folk into one
