Just Like Everyone Else

What's in a name? Well, when you decide to call yourself Acid Bitchez, quite a lot. Harking back to a simpler time, when Chicago ruled the roost, the freshly formed duo of Juha Johnny (who eagle eared readers may remember as as one of the black-tie wearing 303-knob twiddlers in Jori Hulkkonen's Acid Symphony Orchestra) and "lyrical miracle" Jessika have made the most auspicious of debuts, landing on Tiga's Turbo imprint to take us on an acid trip of epic proportions.

Titled 'Thinking About Acid' (we're starting to notice a theme here...) their debut record has seen the label draft in fellow acid enthusiasts - the music not the drug - on remix duties with Jori Hulkkonen, General Ludd, Zia and Joeski all brought in to reshape the cut in their own image. Our pick of the bunch? Well that'd have to be Finnish super-producer Jori Hulkkonen's 303 drenched rework which we have the pleasure of unveiling today.

Not Waving is a London-based Italian artist who was formerly one half of Walls alongside Sam Willis. In 2013 and 2014 he released a series of industrial and EBM records as Not Waving on Walls' Ecstatic outlet and his own Not Waving label, before landing on Diagonal with the Get Serious EP in 2015. Animals will be the sixth album on Diagonal, following LPs from Russell Haswell, The Skull Defekts, $hit & $hine and Death Comet Crew.

The clattering thuds would never fade, they would bang through the dark of night emblazoned into his dreams forever more. He was still haunted by the tunnel, the flashing light and the warwhoops and screams of revellers lost in the tripped out maze of darkness and noise. His escape from that bittersweet warehouse had seemed so bliss at the time but now there was an eerie sense of longing to return to a place which he had once loathed and loved at the same time all so much. 

Lemontrip is based in Holland, his latest EP on Fog Mountain explores only one element of his musical personality which also sees him involved in the programming behind De School. Listen to 'Fade' .
