SONi is a full-time music producer and guitarist. She is a member of the Hong Kong bands “GDJYB 雞蛋蒸肉餅” and “Running Youth 絕命青年.” With these bands, She have been invited to perform at music festivals around the world, including Iceland Airwaves (Iceland), Clockenflap (Hong Kong), Wake Up Festival (Taiwan), Megaport Festival (Kaohsiung), OzAsia Festival (Adelaide, Australia), Noise Pop (USA), Laneway Festival (Singapore), Synchronicity (Tokyo, Japan), SoundPark (Gwangju, South Korea), Stepping Stone Festival (Jeju, South Korea), Tonal Festival (Taiwan), Strawberry Music Festival and MIDI Music Festival (China), among others.

In March 2024, She released her first solo acoustic guitar piece, showing herself for the first time outside of her bands “GDJYB” and “Running Youth.” Her music features a unique looping guitar style, moving between gentle emotions and powerful energy. Through her melodies, she creates a sense of self-healing, inviting listeners to connect with their own inner life force with curiosity and awareness.

Carmaila Seymour, J.D. is a Los Angeles-based DJ/Producer from Fresno, California. Raised by a single mother with an affinity for collecting vinyl, Carmaila was exposed to a wide variety of music, including blues, classic rock, and soul. Equipped with her mother’s eclectic palette, she discovered an even deeper appreciation for music’s diverse genres. Her favorite being, the great metal bands of her youth, Metallica, Korn and Tool. Despite returning to music as her refuge from life’s adversities, as a child Carmaila remembers her mother saying that her dream, and Carmaila’s destiny, was to attend Malibu’s Pepperdine University School Law. Despite life’s challenges, Carmaila amazingly did just that.

But as life also often does, and only weeks before graduating Pepperdine School of Law in 2014, she faced her greatest challenge of all. Carmaila’s beloved mother, who had provided her an un- dying foundation of love and support, unexpectedly passed away. Striking at her very core, she overcame this shock and stayed true to her mother’s dream. With music being her refuge, Carmaila heroically stayed the course and in her mother’s honor, weeks later she graduated Pepperdine School of Law. Walking across the sun filled podium over looking the beaches of Malibu, she was honored with her Juris Doctorate. Most important, knowing her mother was looking down from heaven with an adoring smile only a mother could give.

Yet soon after, a grief-stricken Carmaila became confused and uninspired to practice law. Having joyfully fulfilled her mother’s dreams, she then fulfilled her mother’s other loving admonition. That no matter what, “Be true to yourself, and your hearts desires.” Shortly thereafter Carmaila once again was true to herself, removing herself from the rat race of the corporate world, searching for her life’s truth. Spending her first birthday without her mother she experienced her first electronic show. This experience lifted her from the heavy grief and emptiness and her truth shined as bright as the strongest light show. Suddenly inspired to heal others with the power of electronic music, “Wanting nothing more than to pay forward the life-saving gift of uplifting music her idols gave me that winter.” This unbreakable bond led her to the decision of abandoning the corporate world to become a DJ thus allowing her to fulfill her newfound desire to help others “come alive.”

Purpose-driven and self taught, she hit the ground running spinning her first set on February 18th, 2017. Since then, Carmaila has played over 100 shows her first year alone. This traction allowed her to climb the ranks, including playing in diverse stages from LA’s and Las Vegas’ most popular clubs, festivals in Mexico, to offering herself to private events honoring her passion to serve those in need. She has shared those stages with LA’s heavy hitters such as Doc Martin (Sublevel), Sam Swindle (Dirtybird), DivaDanielle, and King Felix. Heavily inspired by European techno icons such as Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani, and Keith Carnal; Carmaila has began developing her own unique and beautiful sound; a deep, dark, sophisticated and hair raising techno. In just over two years, she evolved from a passionate beginner into a well-rounded developing artist. In 2019, keep your eyes and ears open for Carmaila Seymour as the nation’s “DJ with a Purpose” expands her career into producing, creating new releases and booking international tours.
