Conceived by four friends on the sandy shores of California, Soul Majestic channels their sunny beach days and bonfire nights into their unique brand of reggae music. But look beyond their laid back vibe, and you’ll find they are ever pushing the boundaries of the genre with an edge that cuts through the smoky haze. Their music blends their deep commitment to roots reggae with their love of rock, hip-hop, pop and folk music. This is reggae, yet it’s original–a new twist on familiar sounds–with heartfelt messages and a high-performance band that will have you waiting for what comes next. Their signature sound features male and female singers trading melodies and soaring harmonies, laced with edgy dancehall and crowd hyping verses, epic lead guitar solos over a wide range of tight danceable beats with rock flourishes, heavy-dub interludes and memorable hooks that will captivate and move you to dance.

With a resume that includes recording with some of the greatest legends in the business (such as Sly and Robbie), sharing festival stages with the likes of Rebelution, Matisyahu, Sean Paul, and Damian Marley (to name a few), and extensive touring of North America both headlining and as a support act for Anthony B, Soul Majestic has managed to amass a worldwide fan base. They have journeyed together through many adventures and growth opportunities in their career, from a pilgrimage to Jamaica to record their second album “Until that Day” at Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Studio, to touring Canada in support of their third album, “Better World” (which received an award for Galaxy Radio Canada’s top 10 international reggae albums of the year). Through it all they have maintained a strong unity and drive to continue to do what they love most: uplifting people through music!

Since the successful crowd funding campaign that fueled the recording of their fourth album “Setting the Tone” in 2014 and the construction of their own studio and production lab, Soul Majestic has arrived at their highest peak of live performance, songwriting and musical creation yet. The recent album landed on the iTunes top reggae charts and was submitted by industry insiders for the 2015 GRAMMY Reggae Album of the Year! 

Following their #RoadToCaliRoots Spring Tour, a run of shows that included Lucidity Festival, Santa Barbara Earthday, and the 2015 California Roots Festival, they are channeling the energy and momentum they have been building into the studio, with a fifth album entitled "Pass It Around" to be released in February 2016. To promote the album they are releasing one single per month with accompanying music videos through Fall 2015 as a part of their #songamonth campaign. With more shows coming up in late summer/fall of 2015, Soul Majestic is one to keep on your don’t miss list!
