Na een opleiding aan de Pop Academy in Waimes en enkele talentenjachten begon Marjolein aan haar carrière op 16-jarige leeftijd. Via componist Ignace Baert ontmoette ze Niels William, die eerder ook al K3 had gelanceerd. 

William gaf haar de kans om samen te werken met haar idool Regi Penxten. Hij producete haar eerste single "Luister naar m'n hart" (april 2006), meteen een Ultratophit die haar ook in "Tien om te Zien" en frequent in de Kids Top 20 bracht.

Op het einde van 2006 kwam de tweede single, "Kamer". Dit nummer stond, ook dankzij de prachtige clip, wekenlang op 1 in de Kids Top 20.

In de zomer van 2007 bracht Marjolein een cover uit van Isabelle A's "Hé lekker beest". Ze deed die zomer ook presentatie-ervaring op naast Luc Appermont op het Zomeraperitief van de Nationale Loterij.

Ook in 2008 was ze van de partij op Zomeraperitief, als de groene Lucky bij de meidengroep Popz. De groep scoorde een bescheiden hitje, "Ding Dong", in de Vlaamse Top 10.

Tijdens de zomer van 2009 stond Marjolein weer solo als presentatrice en zangeres op het podium van Zomeraperitief. Ze zong er telkens het duet "Ik leef alleen nog maar voor jou" met Paul Severs. Ondertussen leende ze ook haar stem als backing vocal bij o.a. Sander Deroo.

Na het muzikaal sabbatjaar 2010 koos Marjolein dit jaar een andere weg. Met het project No Ladette bracht ze tijdens de zomer op diverse podia Engelstalige dance. De single "Set Me Free" loste echter de verwachtingen niet in.

Marjolein Lecluyze, zoals ze voluit heet, zag het levenslicht op 6 mei 1989 in Roeselare. Ze is Master in de Meertalige Communicatie en volgt nu de Specifieke LerarenOpleiding in Kortrijk.

In 2012 bracht Marjolein haar nieuwe zomersingle "Zonder woorden" in première op de benefiet voor Rainbow4Kids op 13 april in Bredene. 
De single is een productie van David Vervoort, die ook werkt voor o.a. Willy Sommers, Laura Lynn en Lindsay.

After a training at the Pop Academy in Waimes and some talent competitions, Marjolein began her singing career at the age of 16. Thanks to the composer Ignace Baert Niels, she've met William who had also previously launched the successful Belgian girls band "K3".
William gave her the opportunity to collaborate with her idol Regi Penxten (known from the famous Belgian Group, Milk Inc). He produced her first single "Luister naar mijn hart" (Listen to my heart) in april 2006, which became immediately an Ultratop hit in the Flemish "Tien om te zien" show and was a succesfull hit  in the Top 20 kids charts.
At the end of 2006, her second single was  released: "Kamer" (Room). Thanks to the wonderful video performance, it became the number one hit in the Top 20 Kids billboards.
In the summer of 2007, Marjolein brought her first  cover of the singer Isabelle A:  "Hey lekker beest" (hey, sexy beast). She've got also her first experience as a TV presenter at the side of Luc Appermont (a well known Belgian celebrity in TV shows) during the "Zomeraperitief" of the Belgian National Lottery.
During the Zomeraperitief of 2008,  Marjolein was fully  present again as an unbelievable TV host and  she performed as well as a singer, known as the "green Lucky girl" from the girls band "Popz". The group scored a modest hit, "Ding Dong", which hit the Flemish Top 10 charts.
Marjolein was in the summer of 2009  in again on the stage of Zomeraperitief (TV host  and as singer). She sang the duet "Ik leef alleen nog maar voor jou" (I live only for you) with Paul Severs. In the meantime, as a backing vocalist, she also lent her voice to several established singers such as Sander Deroo.
After a musical sabbatical year in 2010,  Marjolein chose for herself another musical direction. She've started the project "No Ladette" and spent her  summer on different stages, bringing English pop to the public. Unfortunately, the single "Set Me Free" didn't fulfill the expectations.
Marjolein Lecluyze which is her full name, is born in Roeselare, May 6th, 1989. She has a Master of Multilingual Communication and as of now she's doing a Teacher Training in Kortrijk.
In 2012 Marjolein launched her new summer hit  "Zonder Woorden" (Without words) in avant-premiere during the benefit concert for Rainbow4Kids on April 13th in Bredene.

Stemming from his home towns of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, Waters is truly an inspirational and challenging artist. It is often said that those who experience the most pain go on to become the best healers through their ability to empathize with any situation. Kicked out on the streets at age 16, he had no idea that was going to become the theme of his journey. Family having turned their back on him, Waters saw no other choice but to hustle in order to survive the jungle he was thrust in to. 

Facing seemingly insurmountable odds he fought and struggled through adversity that no child should have to face at such a tender age. "Despite how messed up I perceived my situation to be, I always felt there were spirits watching over me ". From escaping close calls with law enforcements, to surviving a battle in which he was stabbed in the neck, to car accidents, Its amazing he still alive to share his story. Perhaps there is something watching over him, guiding him...

His spirit knew he was not even close to living up to his full potential.
A look toward change began with the teachings of Buddhism. He began to study the philosophy in order to channel his anger. Eventually after returning to the straight and narrow, his family opened their arms and took him in. After working a few odd jobs, for example a three-year stint at Herb Chambers selling cars, he quickly realized that he needed more spiritual fulfillment. “A way to give back to the world", He decided to become a massage therapist. This yearning to work in the field of message therapy didn’t stem from just anywhere. A few years prior, Waters was involved in a car accident that left him with chronic back pains. After eight months of going to multiple physical therapy sessions and meeting with various chiropractors, nothing seemed to work. His prognosis seemed pretty unpromising, and he started to accept the fact that he may have to live with this pain forever. This all changed however after meeting with Rev Trxx’s father, a Hoshino Massage Therapist. After two sessions, Rev’s father had Waters back in perfect shape. At that moment on the seed was planted, which has now blossomed into a successful private practice.

Besides massage therapy, Waters has another obvious passion, hip-hop. One of his odd jobs in particular was Staples. During his short time there, he got the chance to meet Viceversah. Though the spark didn't ignite then. The two would coincidentally bump into each other at a breakfast spot a year later, only to realise that they lived directly across from one another. After spending some more time together, both realized each others passion. Viceversah invited him for a guest appearance on his album and the rest is history.

Instilling the ideas of his mother, Water’s chooses a unique approach with his lyrics and overall hip-hop direction. “Ironically, my mother didn’t let me listen to hip-hop when I was young, due to the violent nature of the lyrics” Water’s says. He continues on by adding, “She didn’t want it to influence my behavior”. Waters realizes that at a young age, the lyrics he listened to definitely impacted his behavior on the streets. However, after being introduced to groups like “The Roots” and “Black Star”, Waters realized that using his negative life experiences could be a perfect way to send a positive message through his lyrics. “Music is my way to help heal, uplift and inspire others and myself”, he says. “It influences the soul in ways I could never imagine, and I feel responsible as a poet to help guide us to the highest path possible for spiritual evolution”.

Water’s realizes how lucky he was to get off the streets in one piece. After spending some time working at the Roxbury Boys and Girls club, he was able to see what happens to a lot of kids who aren’t as fortunate. “Years later I have run into kids that I once worked with and they’re all grown up. Some have served multiple jail sentences, others have drug problems and even kids”. Waters understands the fact that he is in charge of his own destiny, and that the success of you achieve in life depends on hard work and finding your true passion. “If you had told me 10 years ago that I would become a Buddhist massage therapist slash conscious lyricist or that I would get to perform at the United Nations for the international day of peace, I would look at you like you had two heads. A hustler turned healer is my story and I look forward to sharing it with you. I will change the world with words and my hands.”

Waters is currently finalizing his debut album, "Surface Tension" which will be dropping later this year.


My name is Helen Maher. I like my name as it has my mum’s name sounding in it: Lynne. Hel – Lynne; see! My mum’s side is predominantly from Yorkshire and my dad’s side (Maher) is Irish. Both sides met in the middle and, hey presto, Helen Maher is from Liverpool!

I was exposed to music from an early age. My mum was in the church choir and my dad loved swing and jazz records, played the clarinet and now swaggers his voice on the Liverpool karaoke scene (he does a mean Frank Sinatra song).

I have one sister, Ruth. She is an actress best known in the online soap ‘Spinning Jenny’ (she is Jenny) and currently is one of the newsreaders for the Liverpool Echo and Daily Post website.
	 	
Early musical murmurings started at 5. I was bought a piano but I had to get on with lessons I didn’t enjoy or understand. It wasn’t until my teenage angst kicked in that I started my musical ‘expressions’. At 16 I went straight into music education and also started a small number of gigs. At 19 I got the opportunity to play with the Pete Best Band as keyboard player/backing vocalist. I got to tour nationally and internationally and saw what the big kids do!

However, I was still at college so I supported myself with many jobs. Teaching and playing music were the two most consistent. I have been teaching the piano since 1995 and performing in many guises. In 2003 I graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a BA Hons in Music.

Since then I have worked with many organisations on projects such as writing music for film and theatre, running workshops and teaching music. I love all of this and want to do more, but my real love is performance.

One day, I ‘found’ an accordion in the hallway of a house I used to live in and took it as a sign and started playing it. I didn’t take it seriously until I met Trez Fez. Initially responding to an ad in the local newspaper wanting a jazz vocalist, I went along to Dead Frog Studios to sing. It turned out Trez Fez, a gypsy jazz inspired ensemble, wanted an accordionist/vocalist. I have been playing with them ever since.

My musical style can (and does) vary through many genres. Most listeners comment on how ‘French’ my sound is and that would be about right as lots of my influences stem from 1930’s – 1940’s Parisian jazz, sometimes mixed with a nice dose of vocals.

Through experience, this music is very accessible to most audiences and I marvel at how all ages love it. My band has played at many types of events; weddings, festivals, pub gigs, birthday parties and anniversaries to name just a few. The solo and duo works well in restaurants, art gallery openings, awards ceremonies and I’ve even played in a greenhouse!!

I am lucky to have so many good fellow musicians around me and equally lucky to be a full time musician playing music that I love. I would like to share that music with you as nothing makes me happier than seeing a big smile on the audience’s face!

"As long as there is life, I can write" says singer/songwriter/performer, Jake Incao. And, with a versatile arsenal of over 200 songs, it appears life is coming at this complex artist day in and day out. Not just another singer/songwriter with an acoustic guitar, Jake keeps busy by writing, performing acoustic, working with different producers and various genre's and fronting his newly formed band, Jake Incao & The Common Thieves, who frequently play at well established New York City venues such as The Bitter End, Ace Of Clubs and Bowery Poetry Club. 

In the last half decade Jake has been relentless with his passion and vision for music and the arts. He has licensed 2 of his songs through SONY BMG, which include fan favorite, "My Sweet Sweet Summer" and the acoustic track, "Dizzy" which was put along side tracks by such artist like Jeff Buckley, Ray Lamonagne, Howie Day and Shawn Colvin on Sony BMG Compilation albums. In August of 2008 he received film placement after he was asked by his good friend Brooke Ellison to write and record the song "Hold On" for the stem cell research driven documentary, Hope Deferred, which was a captivating and inspiring Independent film released in early 2009. He has also had experience on the road landing a spot at 2008's SXSW Music Festival with his lead guitarist, Vinny Costantino, as well as, supporting slots for Gin Blossoms, Edwin McCain, Foghat, Huey Lewis & The News, Kenny Loggins, Mike Doughty and Dave Mason of Traffic or just playing low key local long island venues 

     At the start of 2010 Incao began working on a unique collaboration with hip hop producers, Lunchbox Beats for a 5 song EP, entitled, The Calm Before The Storm. The upcoming EP will be a testimony to his range when compared to 2004's, Get What You Came For and 2008's, Pieces EP. The EP is currently in post production and is scheduled for release last spring/early summer.

      In late september of 2010 Jake decided to get sober and get healthy. His doctor discovered a heart condition which led to 2 heart procedures as well as a much sharper focus from Incao. "When  you have a team of Doctors telling you 'You're very lucky to be alive...You may need a pacemaker' and you're still in your 20's, it really shakes things up and makes you appreciate life, your loved ones and the music all around you more than ever".

Immediately after his successful heart procedure and some recovery time, Incao got right back in the studio with the help of singer/songwriter home 27 productions to record the upcoming singles, "Miles Away", "Till The Heavens Cry", and "Sick.
Co-written by Chris Rooney, "Miles Away" featuring Mark O'Connell of Taking Back Sunday on drums is a powerful pop/rock song with an infectious hook, and will be the first of the singles to be released.

With so many avenues for Jake to explore, whether it be in the studio, performing solo acoustic on Long Island or at venues around New York City with The Common Thieves, there is never a shortage of music, creativity and passion in this artists life.

Never buy a used car. Whoever wrote that bit of advice was of a different time, a bygone era when money was cheap and it was assumed that regular people (that is, people who don't make records for a living) had enough of it to buy new.

When I was given a six-year-old Ford Taurus (I think it was in 1998), I couldn't believe my good fortune. When the transmission crapped out two months later, I made what at the time seemed like two good decisions: 1. I paid the $1,100 to replace the tranny. 2. I accepted an invitation to join an ill-conceived, sort of musical revue; an eleven date club tour of Holland. I figured I could use the dough to pay off the credit card used in good decision number-one. I was to do a solo acoustic set. There were three other acts on the bill. How bad could it be?

Well, it was a fucking nightmare on a number of levels. Here's the short form: Thirteen relative strangers in a shitty fume-filled splitter van with no AC in June; a maniacal tour manager who chain rolled/smoked "enhanced" cigarettes while driving; pipe-clogging, digestion-halting Dutch food (ham, cheese, fries with mayo); thirteen people crashing on damp, itchy Dutch couches in strange Dutch houses... and how can I put this delicately? You put thirteen musicians together in this kind of situation and someone could quite possibly end up strangled in their sleep.

We all spent the first two days "in country" exhausted, drinking, doing interviews, some radio sessions and too much "I think it's a good idea" handshaking with "influential Dutch club promoters." Honestly, during those first days, the only thing (besides personal financial debt) that kept me from telling the tour's ringleader to jam his tour up his ass was meeting James Walbourne (and Peter Bruntnell, with whom James was playing.)

The three of us hit it off instantly. James was 18 years old, and a really good kid, instantly likeable and sage beyond his years. Bruntnell and I are both at least a decade older than James, and like older brothers, we good-naturedly broke his balls to no end about little more than his limited sexual experience and the lack of prowess that comes with inexperience.

And then I saw James play. I was wholly unprepared. It was the first gig of The Bad Idea Revue. I thought they were going to blow. When you see two guys on stage with acoustic guitars, you say to yourself, "Please, God, make it go by quickly. And another thing, God, if you can, would you minimize the damage?" That's the kind of asshole you can become when you find yourself on a tour such as I was.

May I be struck dead right here in this Toronto coffee shop if I did not say to myself that night in Amsterdam that I was watching a true genius in James Walbourne. Not some soon-to-be-forgotten adolescent media creation "raised on the blues." Not some bullshit wankologist with a guitar shop perm who bores you to tears with cliched trips up and down the scales. Not even someone who was very, very good. This was a fully developed artist with other worldly ability. And he could sing like a motherfucker. And he was only 18. Guys his age were not in Holland playing shitty "character-building" gigs. Guys his age were home rubbing one out to Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

That was 1998. He has been a great friend and collaborator since. And he has been touring the world and recording with other acts since. Check out this partial resume:

Now, finally, after being the sideman to artists smart enough to recognize his formidable talent, James Walbourne is standing tall before a great album of his own. It's called The Hill, named after Muswell Hill where he has always (and probably always will live.)

Since I am so good at dishing out advice (see PART I, Sentence I), here's a bit more with regards to The Hill.

1. Don't listen to The Hill if you prefer studio trickery to soulful and ridiculously talented people playing instruments with ass-kicking authority. I've told you how great James Walbourne is, but check out the rest of the lineup - Jim Keltner on drums, Ivan Neville on keyboards, Danny Williams (Black Grape) on bass James Fernally (The Pogues) on accordian and brother Rob Walbourne on second guitar. If you don't recognize some these historically significant players, well, I don't know what to tell you other than you have some serious makeup studying to do, son.

2. Don't listen to The Hill if you prefer some embarrassing lightweight fugazi wearing a self-absorbed-johnny-come-lately-poet costume to the real deal. James Walbourne is not too bored to tune his guitar, thank you very much. James Walbourne is not too polite to refrain from knocking you on your ass with his playing and singing. James Walbourne can talk (and play) the most obscure delta blues one minute and Orange Juice or Pussy Galore or The Replacements or Roger Miller the next. James Walbourne can bang out requests for Django Reinhardt b-sides all night. James Walbourne will go toe-to toe with anyone (and win) when it comes to Sondheim or Porter Wagner or just about anyone. James Walbourne's knowledge and understanding of music is so deep for someone of any age, it is, to put it simply, stupid.

3. Don't listen to The Hill if you prefer a bird's nest of disjointed and pointless song fragments to songs (and don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.) The man can pen a tune. When I first heard the songs on The Hill, I was reminded of Tommy Stinson's album Friday Night is Killing Me. Not because the songs are similar, but because with both albums, "someone else's player" steps out and pulls it off handily. (And no offense to Tommy Stinson, but he has never played an instrument the way James Walbourne does.)

Look, I could go on, but let me end by saying this: I cannot guarantee you will love The Hill, just as I cannot guarantee you are not a soulless degenerate bankrupt of all cultural currency and the capacity to love. That said... I give you James Walbourne's The Hill.

Singer/MC 'Vida Sunshyne' brings an explosive stage presence.
Reflecting her strong reggae roots, having grown up performing in her Ghanaian father’s Afro-Reggae band. Vida’s ARIA nominated collaboration with Local act Astronomy Class, saw her make her mark before performing at UK's Glastonbury Festival 2 years consecutively. Vida has toured, supported, and/or worked with a number of well-known and established artists around the world, including SIZZLA KALONJI, JME (BOY BETTER KNOW), 
ZIGGY MARLEY, LIONEL RICHIE, THUNDAMENTALS, MISTA SAVONA, and

Milton Bethanie is following
