This is my Song 3, created during Andrew Huang's music production class.

This challenge incorporated vocals, of which I'm somewhat satisfied. I have more practicing/learning to do on performing vocals, as well as editing them. But I'm happy with this attempt at making a full-feature song with vocals, drums, guitars, synths, etc.

I'm also pretty happy with how the instrumentals turned out and I actually really like the vocal melodies and lyrics that I came up with.

Ancient Tome

This is the first song that came out of my enrollment in Andrew Huang's music production class, meant to be all electric instruments.

For inspiration, I imagined a memory of when I was a kid - my brother and I would ask my mom to go to the local convenience store to go buy candy. If she said yes, OH IT WAS ON. We would ride bikes through the neighborhood like we owned it. This song feels like that memory to me.

Kwik Stop Kids

This is my Song 2, created during Andrew Huang's music production class.

I was able to fully stick to the challenge of only using kitchen samples and original synth sounds I created (using Helm in my case). Some interesting ones:
-The voice samples were from my Google home that I use mostly as a timer in the kitchen. 
-The kick drum is a silicone spatula hitting a rubber lid
-The “guitar” tone is a spatula hitting a metal bowl (run through a bass amp emulator and octaver)
-The “bell” tone in the chorus is the same sample as the “guitar” above, but with totally different effects
-The drone sound in the background for much of the song (and most noticeable at the end) is a vibrating frother for lattes
