WOW.... What a crew. Stephen aka TexMex Shaman and guitarist and  Producer extraordinaire and responsible for the awesome artwork, Janine Levinson with a voice that melts my heart, Uziel who is so courageous in her exquisite creations, and Jo Richter(Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches) Poet laureate and Sonic Naturalist all teamed up to make this little poem of mine into an Amazing Song. Well once again  Uziel, Tex Mex Shaman, Janine Levinson with Tea are Sea and me made some musical poetry together.

you may have heard the creaking noise and tiny footsteps n the darkened corridors
that stretch to the southern boundaries of the unpolluted parts
where souls are living with total disregard for the nature of the Holy Dumpling
floating on the cosmic stew that simmers horizontally to your soul ln your heart

Traveling with the HOBO CYBERPUNKS, l learned a thing or two from the leader of the band Cosmic Stu who ln a wild tangent and a Rant, described a different spot
a filthy plot, invaded by tribe of bots, who stank of superficiality
an opportunity that he lost

The teachers teach ln empty auditoriums to pupils lost ln 4 inch screens
sequestered ln squalid scenes, that go unnoticed as useless information ls gobbled up and gobbled down ln every home and every town
Put the monster down and walk away He sald,
lron John ls not afraid of the queen
and even though the prince ls doomed
the purpose doesn't change

let me introduce you to some members of the band
there's Sally and Roberta who play the clarinet with beauty and with Grace
who plays the violin and Viola who makes the Djembe
bounce around the brain
with subliminal referrals to her pleasure and her paln
The horns are played by the twins
Maurece and Nostradamus, their trumpeting sublime

the accordlan of course ls played by Johnny who you might remember from the land of Zed, He did eventually get out of bed and sald
This reminds me of a time when things were real, and l could feel the rope of
hope wrapped firmly around and round my throat
before l knew the truth about the Lle
before l knew the meaning of goodbye

Now Stu he claimed to know or knew the whereabouts of the holy condiment that grew only
just outside his windowsill (and was essential to the Dumpling's flavor)
where he lived ln another life with Mary-Ann his ex-wife
who left hm for a guy named Sid who was a maestro on guitar
and had a band that traveled wide and far
including Mary Ann, and Larry too

Looking for that very thing
Hoping for just one bite
of that heavenly delight
before the turning of the light

The Hummingbird- Jam wlth TEXMEX SHAMAN

This was a really fun mega collab with a bunch of super creative artists! Of course Stonerjazz (Jeff) is a long-time partner in crime. He instigated this one by sending bass/drum machine and guitar parts as a bunch of stems to me, Entheogenic Psychonaught (Josh) and TexMex Shaman (Stephen). Stephen really developed the atmosphere with more guitars and added sound effects, I added a bassy synth and drone in the middle, and Josh added mandolin and a new bass part. Then I worked with Josh to develop the second half with added percussion and he extended his bass/mandolin parts. Finally Jeff suggested and got permission from Hosam Yousef to use his vocal samples, and added some finishing touches (intro and outro) with the guitar.

This was a wild experience and an honor to work with this crew, thanks to all involved!

This song originated with Jeff, who wrote a poem, which he set to a beat and a key with some very cool vocal processing. He sent it to Josh, who added the bass and the synth lines. Josh, of course, got the rest of the Eclectic Collective involved. Ken came up with a solid, distinct beat, based loosely on Josh's first take. Josh then redid his bass line to match up with Ken's drums, which is the way they seem to work best, sometimes going back and forth like that several times until they're locked in. Then, Tez and Stephen each added very distinct, supportive guitar tracks to fill it in. Tez comes through with the very Strat sounding bells ringing throughout. Stephen really shines with his textural tremolo playing throughout, as well as the rocking end. He also produced and mixed it expertly, as always. 

  This is the first time the Eclectic Collective has collaborated with Jeff, although both Josh and especially Stephen (as part of the band, The Smoking Trout) have made music with him before. We really enjoyed making a song based on his vocals, and Jeff is a welcome addition to our sound anytime. We all really enjoyed making this one. We hope you enjoy listening-

i am happy to report that the bus is again rolling down the Blacktop--Terry aka Tea R Sea is again the producer and music maker on this latest leg with his magic synth, and Stephen otherwise known as TexMex Shaman, is manning his magnificent Axe, while i bring up the rear with some sqeaky noises and distant voices--A big thanks and much love to my digital homeboys and to all you out there who may find yourselves on the bus--Our good friend and percussionist Masa often refered to as Tot. has joined us again to make it jump and much respect and gratitude and love to him for his contributions!! The Smoking Trout continue our tale of the Quest for the Holy Dumpling. This time we're joined by our biggest crew yet! Stonerjazz (Jeff) got us started and somehow the whole process unfolded quite organically from there. TexMex Shaman (Stephen), Jo Richter, Tot (Masa), Jeff and Tea R Sea (Terry) are regularly recurring members of the band. We are happy to welcome Wivresse (Carine) and Neil Harding as new guest contributors. This was tons of fun as always, and a truly global collaboration spanning Japan, France, Germany, UK, and USA.

traveling at the speed of light

everybody on the bus
runnin hard and hot
some of us holograms
except for Gus
he's an Alien from outer space
waiting for the rendevous
at the window of the launch
in Oaxaca down in Mexico
Where the magic mushrooms grow

And his bus
a shuttle from the mother ship
disquised as a 1983 GMC
infinity
He's from another Galaxy
searching for the holy dumpling
just like you and me.
