Artist Bio￼

Born in Fairbanks Alaska, The Lyric has been musically inclined since 2002. In 2007 The Lyric met up with Gabriel, CEO of Striknine Records and recorded a single called ‘Sometimes’. It was released a month later and was a success receiving a top 10 rotation at Portland’s party station, Jammin 95.5 FM. Lyric move to Long Beach, CA in pursuit of his musical career. In a bet outside of ‘In And Out Burger’ in Long Beach, CA, the wager was $5.00 that he was better than everyone in the circle. Lyric won the bet and the group said Lyric was ‘Lyrically Inclined’ (AKA L.I.). The name stuck with him and he continued pursuit of his dreams.
In 2008 L.I. moved to washington state to be closer to his family. Soon after meeting with Jinx Productions he recorded songs and performed at local events such as Romeos and Hells Kitchen. After leaving Jinx Productions, L.I. met J. Farrow. He brought his material to PSU Records to have his sound recorded.
Brian Hamre, CEO PSU Records, got to work on L.I. as an artist, transforming and creating his sound. “There was a certain sound he wanted and he pulled it out of me”, said Lyric. “I was inspired, motivated, and dedicated to work more than ever.”
L.I. plans to record and release his first album in 2012 with PSU Records. With sold out performances at The Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR, he is anxious to perform again.
