"For this mix I’ve put together a little journey through different styles of house that I love - from deep to tech to classic. I wanted to create a set that built from beginning to end with the intention of keeping it rolling and grooving throughout. This one features lots of boppy bass lines and vocals which I love hearing and playing. My favourite track at the moment sits in the middle of the set called Love Attack by RSquared. It has an 80’s indie feel with lots of whips and big open snares. The vocal just makes me smile and feels super nostalgic. I hope you enjoy listening!!"

I wanted to celebrate how someone close to me inspires me to paint my life with dreams. I was super happy to be using more of my friend Tab Hart's cello in this after My Own Magic, to create the feeling of floating in a dreamlike state.

My Own Magic originally released 17 November 2023, now rerubbed with a sexy new flavour. Lyrics and Vocals by Lioness, reimagined with the cello to bring out a swing undertone. Returning to My Own Magic was an intimate journey inwards, a guided sensual tour of the sex magicks in the grasping, unfurling, palms of my hands.

Constructions 013 brings forth a pivotal figure to the growth and longevity of Sydney’s deep-rooted and ever-flourishing sound system culture. 

Over the years, local tall guy Alec Sander, aka Alex McGuigan has gone from strength to strength in Australia’s bass scene as both an artist with impeccable taste and as a promoter curating some of Sydney’s most iconic underground parties.  

Cutting his teeth in the golden-era of UK dubstep with his bass-focused alias dubbed Wompa, Alex formed the crew DUNJ with friends in 2012 which has gone on to become an integral part of the Sydney underground music scene - hosting a plethora of world-class artists in dimly lit, mostly BYO environments. 

A love for all things weird and wonderful led Alec Sander to be created - a forward-thinking vessel for broken-beat, left-field techno and various other sonic explorations - always with a focus on the deep, low-end frequencies that are synonymous with the Wompa alias.
