Hey I’m Scott, I’m a Portland producer/DJ that makes crazy fun space trap and other electronic music that makes me happy.
 
Mixing heavier elements of trap and bass artists like MEMBA, Minnesota, Ekali, UZ, LSDREAM and Eastghost with lighter, fun elements of artists like ODESZA, Big Wild and San Holo, my goal is to create music that makes you happy, gets stuck in your head and even cause the occasional bass face.

Outside of music, I live in Portland, Oregon with my super dank wife and animals. I sometimes do standup comedy. I am a graphic/web designer who works in marketing during the day while making dope music on my lunchbreak and at night. I also make bonkers margaritas that make it hard to get out of your lawn chair.

Music project and stage name of musician Ian McIntyre, As_Is takes participants on an immersive audio-visual journey through time and space.  Defying and bending bass music genres, listeners can completely escape their Earthly lives and explore the cosmos and themselves. With a sound rooted in years of classical music studies, As_Is takes a fresh, yet oddly familiar approach to electronic music. Lush atmospheres, driving bass, and a fiercely melodic sound leave no comparisons.


The mission of As_Is is one of personal growth and exploration.  As_Is invites all listeners to be As_tronauts, exploring new sounds and sights, far-away worlds, and themselves, and in the process, become a better human being.
