I don’t know how to play guitar the “normal” way. The concept of chords is a bit alien to me, and my fingers are not quite long enough to manage some of the more complex fingering patterns. Hence, my guitar is mostly a percussive instrument. For this recording, I balanced my recording device on the neck of the guitar, which I left in its hardshell case to improve ambient dampening, and went to town with complicated rhythmic patterns that I invented on the fly. I didn’t do any editing or dubbing on this aside from some light noise reduction, so this recording is as live as it gets.
