The band was formed in 2018 by Emma and Jon who had been playing together in Brighton folk group Lutine. To date they have released two 7” singles on the Fenny Compton and Gardener’s Delight labels, a self released EP (distributed by Hudson Records), and a digital only EP produced remotely during the Covid lock down. All of which have garnered critical praise. In 2020 they released The Cinder Sheet EP: a collection of covers of songs from movies (also distributed by Hudson Records). The Cinder Sheet also received a lot of praise critically. Sairie are now working on their debut album.

The Tender Set are a London, UK based alternative-folk band, started as a collaboration between singer/multi-instrumentalist Martin Lloyd Chitty and guitarist Adrian Jones.

Meeting at an evening class at Goldsmiths College in London, Chitty and Jones bonded over a mutual love of artists including Joni Mitchell, Julia Holter, Radiohead, Joanna Newsom, Broadcast, Scott Walker and Fleetwood Mac. They began writing and experimenting together, fusing ambient soundscapes with warm acoustic timbres and thoughtful, literate lyrics.

The Tender Set aim to capture a mood that is at once intimate and expansive, languid and driving, melancholic and euphoric. Jones' imaginative and sensitive electric guitar lines meld with Chitty's gentle baritone to create a haunting and evocative sound.

The band's debut single, North Sea Holes, was released across all major streaming services along with a self-produced video on Friday 10th April 2020.
