From Moscow to Siberia, people have taken to the streets in many Russian cities to demonstrate against the war in Ukraine. People chanted "No to war!". The anti-war protests had begun on Thursday after Russian troops invaded Ukraine. Hundreds of protesters have been detained daily since then. The protests appeared to be smaller than those on Thursday, when thousands gathered in Moscow and St. Petersburg. But the true scale was difficult to gauge...

Here's a brief little piece from 1999. "Coast". Somber in tone, but in the end ... you know where you are. Recorded to tape in 1999, using the WS EX and my old Technics cassette deck, which I still have but it doesn't work as it should now. This was all about the sound, and in a way the slight change in tempo as well. None of it was planned, except for the programmed sound. 😌

I think I had the gain up too high when I first recorded it, as it was clipping. I cut the volume here but it's still not a smooth as I'd like it to be. But, I'm just glad I kept those tapes in the first place! 🤞
