Devon Michael is a former child actor turned sci-fi author best known to #StarWars fans as one of the three finalists seen in the behind the scenes documentary "The Beginning: The Making of Episode I." Devon has recently been featured in a 15 minute New York Times documentary called "Almost Famous, The Unchosen One" and in this Around the Galaxy episode, takes us even deeper into the experience before, during and after the famous audition.

Jason Fry is a best selling author with over 40 Star Wars credits to his name, the most high profile of which is the novelization of The Last Jedi. From the Clone Wars Visual Guide to Solo: Tales from Vandor, Jason has been bringing tales from the Galaxy Far, Far Away to readers as far back as 2008. He is also a journalist and baseball writer who co-writes Faith and Fear in Flushing, the NY Mets blog.

Episode 14 - Jason Fry

Dan Donohue is the accomplished actor who brought one of BattleFront II’s breakout characters, Shriv Suurgav. He has been a member of the Oregeon Shakespeare Festival for 11 seasons and played Scar on Broadway and in the national touring production of Julie Taymor’s The Lion King. Dan has recently been seen on television in the CBS All Access series, Strange Angels and the Amazon Prime Original, For All Mankind. While Star Wars fans know him for his video game work as the cantankerous Duros, Shriv, he has also played roles in Skyrim (as Teldryn Sero), Wolfenstein II, Fallout 4, Halo 5 and Spider-Man. A character actor, he’s appeared in Chicago P.D., Fear the Walking Dead and Scream Queens.
 
On this first part of a two-part episode, we dig into his early acting career, his time in the Lion King and how he was inspired by Star Wars to become an actor. On an episode that often is interrupted by absurd humor and laughs, Dan also shares what went into becoming Shriv, how he got the role and the benefits to having a “pleasantly unpleasant” voice. He even shares info on a Star Wars role he auditioned for but didn’t get.
