Alexandra “ahlay” Blakely is a descendent of Ashkenazi, Scandinavian and British folk. She is a singer-songwriter, grief tender, community organizer, facilitator and ceramicist walking the path of ancestral healing and the reclaiming of lost cultural memories. Her community singing album, Spells from the Unknown encapsulates songs for the community to transform, ask questions, and seek to lead lives that might make us ancestors worth honoring. Her upcoming 2024 community singing album, WAILS: Songs for Grief was recorded in July 2023 with a choir of 200 voices. The album is completely dedicated to grief, inspired by the Whales and Frances Weller’s “the five gates of grief.”

JEWISH COMMUNAL SINGING FOR HEALING AND LIBERATION
Let My People Sing! is a cultural project expanding the ancient and transformative practice of Jewish communal singing. We gather in multi-racial, multicultural and genderful Jewish community, uplifting songs and leaders historically and ongoingly pushed to the margins. Together, we transmit and reclaim diasporic Jewish singing traditions, celebrate original music emerging from our communities, and create heart-centered gatherings where we can all be leaders and learners of song.

Essential Teaching nasce dall’esigenza di offrire un percorso di crescita e di trasformazione.
E' una sintesi delle esperienze che Darshana Elena Scola ha vissuto in 25 anni trascorsi nel campo della Meditazione e della trasformazione personale.

Essential Teaching vuole innanzittutto dare una possibilità, continuativa e concreta, di essere sostenuti e incoraggiati nella propria individualità e nel proprio anelito ad Essere, a trovare chiarezza e stimoli alla propria vita, oltre ad acquisire una formazione professionale.
Sono previsti incontri periodici in tre distinte Aree di Formazione:

Pur essendo diviso in tre Aree di Formazione, che coprono interessi diversi, è in fase di elaborazione la costituzione di un triennio complessivo, con specialistica in Counseling, che avrà la propria definizione entro settembre 2011: Ateneo Discipline Olisitche e Counseling Essential Teaching
Il percorso è aperto a chi è interessato alla propria crescita e alla meditazione, oltre a coloro vogliono specializzarsi nel campo olistico.
Si rivolge anche a professionisti che operano a contatto con le persone, in differenti contesti: assistenti sociali, psicologi, infermieri, naturopati, docenti, etc.

Lisa G. Littlebird is the director of the 250-member Wholehearted Chorus in Carmel and San Diego, CA. She has been on the faculty as a community singing facilitator at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA since 2006. Of the numerous electronic music talents emergent in Washington, DC, it’s Sarah Myers whose consistency in delivery of “dank, nasty” house and techno sets as transformative experiences makes her a standout. Her name and inimitable style are respected in locales as diverse as Brooklyn, Barcelona, Burning Man and more, which adds to the significance and renown of her work. Furthermore, in the past decade, her determination and passion have matched her growth in talent and skill. This has led to her being a resident at DC-to-worldwide renowned underground hotspot Flash, promote her well regarded “Life” parties, plus host of “Hooked,”, her podcast series featuring DC local talent and a global who’s who of dancefloor titans.

As a DJ, her inspiration comes from the likes of iconic DJ/producer John Digweed, with whom she has also shared a billing. Other notable names with whom Myers has played include Raresh, Delano Smith, tINI, and Bella Sarris.  Overall, Myers’ style of selection is driven by her use of music as a tool for building diverse, small, and tightly knit communities. These sonorous and unique soundscapes are grounded in Myers growing up with parents who were passionate music lovers and vinyl record collectors, plus she counts the violin, flute, guitar, and the recorder as instruments she has learned to play (poorly) throughout her life.

Sarah Myers is a dynamic and determined professional whose career has spanned everything from performing at Boulevard Barcelona, Output NYC, and Space Ibiza to her contribution to help build the underground scene in DC. Sarah, along with her partners at “Life” have hosted legendary worldwide artists including Maya Jane Coles, Josh Wink, Matthew Dear, Steve Bug, Life & Death crew (Tale of Us, Thugfucker, & Clockwork) just to name a few.  On a local, national, and global level, house and techno’s progressive flame cannot continue to ignite without a spark. Whether as a curator or creator, Sarah Myers will, has, and continues to spark the energy that drives the progression of electronic music excellence.
