Homage to the theme from Bungie's 1995 game, Marathon 2: Durandal by Power of Seven, a.k.a. Paul Sebastian/Psykosonik

I recognized that it was just about impossible to outdo the original track for a number of reasons, and so it was probably best to take it in my own direction rather than try to copy perfection.

Originally I planned to go in a more dub-techno direction, but I favour heavy, complex synths and so I ate that path instead. If it isn't obvious, the main, bassy synth lead in the mid-range I called "Durandal's voice" and that's the role its meant to play, supported by the bassy legato stabs, plus distorted guitar and reverbed acoustic guitar in the mid-high range. The slower pace and complex arrangements were inspired here by some of my favourite deep-indie/electro artists, Future Bones and Damon Jee on Tici Taci.

I still want to experiment what it might sound like with more dub chords and a more warehousey kick, maybe a different mix to release with it.
