Bronx born producer Vinny Idol “King of Beats” has already achieved more in his  life than most producers dream possible.  His start began as a DJ doing kids and school parties.  His cousin is Davy D who introduced him to producing, and gave him his first drum machine.  He knew music and production would be the path he was destined for in his life.
 
Vinny Idol was always around major artists such as DMC from Run DMC, Kurtis Blow and Spoony G.   While sitting with DMC who was writing his verse for “Beats for the Rhymes,” DMC asked Vinny for his input because of his exceptional talent. These relationships would prove pivotal in the launching of his career.  Realizing the studio was an environment more conducive to creative discovery, Vinny Idol went full speed into with plans to make producing a reality.       
 
His first commercial release as a producer was Microphone Terroists with distribution through VP, he went on to produce the 1st street sweeper volume by K Slay in 2003.  He started doing jingles prior to producing, and produced jingles for McDonalds, Sleepy’s, Yoplait Yogurt and Partnership for Drug Free America. Vinny also did the music for  HBO “The Wire” and “The Making of Rome.” Vinny Idol has produced Dblock, Styles P, Sheek louch, Jadakiss, Corey Gunz,  50 Cent, G Unit, Method Man, Red Man, Babs Bunny, J Hood, AZ, Terminology, Fred da Godson, Funkmaster Flex’s car show albums, and Tupac’s Concrete Rose Volume 2 just to name a few.
 
“When I’m in the studio, I usually let the “producer in me” take the lead.  I’m often in producer mode… making sure what is being played serves the song best,” said Vinny Idol.  In an industry that is often more interested in the bottom line than artistic merit, Vinny Idol has managed to remain strong in his desire to carve out his unique sound. “Every time I write or produce, I’m trying to break some new ground,” said Vinny.   His musical genius takes him beyond producing.  Vinny fluently plays musical instruments such as the drums, guitar and piano.     
 
Vinny Idol is currently working on his mixtape “King of Beats Part II.” He is producing Penthouse Boys album coming on Idolize Music, which is Vinny Idol’s label, distributed by Believe Digital.
