Rich Freeth - singer, songwriter and musician originally from New York City, performs a style of original rock that infuses a mix of alternative rock and post brit-pop.

The original music from Rich Freeth features several notable musicians: Ben Peeler on lap steel (whose other credits include The Mavericks, The Wallflowers, Shakira), Matt Johnson on drums (whose other credits include Jeff Buckley, Duncan Sheik, Rufus Wainwright), Brad Albetta on bass (whose other credits include Martha Wainwright, Glen Hansard, Teddy Thompson). Brad also lent his talents in mixing the CD.

In addition to years of playing the most renowned rock clubs in New York City and the surrounding area, Rich has been performing up and down the East Coast, and even overseas (most notably Brazil, where he is currently collaborating on a new batch of songs with new writing partner Dudu Golzi). Rich, either individually or with band, has opened for numerous acts, including: Freedy Johnston, Peter Wolf, Rick Derringer, Soul Asylum, Patty Smith, Bitch & Animal....and played in places like CBGB, Arlene's Grocery, Kenny's Castaways, etc. (NYC), Tobacco Road (Miami), and Toad's Place (New Haven, CT) to name a few.

Cantor, compositor e músico Nova Iorquino, Rich Freeth iniciou sua jornada musical tocando no legendário clube de rock CBGB em Nova Iorque, mesmo clube aonde também começaram os Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie, e muitos outros, inclusive o primeiro show do The Police na America foi la. Sua música apresenta um estilo de rock original que infunde uma mistura de rock alternativo e pós brit-pop. Com um repertório inspirado por rock clássico, passando por suas próprias composições, Rich esbanja musicalidade tocando solo ou com sua banda. Entre seus artistas favoritos estão The Faces, Stereophonics, Black Crowes e Os Mutantes. 

O EP “Like In The Movies”, foi gravado em Nova Iorque e masterizado em Londres no Estudio Abbey Road por Andy Walter. Com composições autorais de Rich Freeth, apresenta vários músicos notáveis: Ben Peeler em lap steel (cujos créditos incluem The Wallflowers, Shakira), Matt Johnson na bateria (cujos créditos incluem Chris Cornell, Jeff Buckley), Brad Albetta no baixo (créditos incluem Sean Lennon, Rufus Wainwright, Glen Hansard). Brad também emprestou seus talentos ao gravar e mixar as musicas deste CD e outros de autoria do Rich no seu estúdio “Monkey Boy” em Nova Iorque. 

Rich estudou guitarra com Robert Fripp (King Crimson) e já teve a honra de dividir o palco, abrir shows e colaborar com vários artistas nacionais e internacionais, incluindo; Freedy Johnston, Peter Wolf, Rick Derringer, Soul Asylum, Patty Smith, Ratos Do Porao, Joao Suplicy, Murilo Lima, Dudu Golzi, Oliver Kivitz, Thiago Castanho. 

Ele foi introduzido a música Brasileira por David Byrne, que lançou o disco Beleza Tropical I & II, uma coletânea de música Brasileira lançada nos Estados Unidos com participação de Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Marisa Monte, Lenine e vários outros. Rich teve a oportunidade de conhecer muitos músicos Brasileiros e assistir muitos shows ao vivo como Paralamas, Blitz, Arnaldo Antunes, Gabriel O Pensador, Barão Vermelho, Sepultura, Capital Inicial e Charlie Brown Jr. Após muitas visitas ao Brasil, Richard esta finalmente residindo em Santos.
