Story :
Here is a bit of what happens when you loose someone you cherish above all.. the one who gave you inconditional love, the one who gave you life! 
I was still a young music student at this time, but it seemed youth - and all its carelessness - would never ever be.
Nothing I was able to do except... crying, and, just after one week -  when walking along the sea apart from family , trying to find interior peace and accepting - composing this!
I wrote music as I could when back in my car (always had some music paper and a pen in it) and words came instantly.
Days after I could check it on a guitar, and only one year later record it. 
Never been able to play it with bands so that you’re almost the first listeners here … more than three decades later

Had an idea a few days ago for a dream sequence where a dearly departed woman appeared to her lover in his sleep, so I sent it to my awesome buddy & synthmeister John Buckle for ideas.

In addition to adding his glorious synths, he was also majorly instrumental (excuse the pun lol) in the creation & production of the finished track.
 
Note: I purposely heavily processed the vocal to give the impression of a ghostly voice.

  This song began with a request to me made by Karin-Maria about contributing an original song as a collaboration for her new jazz album called Jazztastic. After fleshing out a song on the piano, I had to get my right-hand man Ken involved to add the drums, because of course I did. 
  After we had worked it out on bass, piano, and drums, we sent it to Karin-Maria, who added the sax solo. She had it professionally mixed and mastered, primarily because the album is now available to stream on all the major platforms. So, please give the whole thing a listen. It has a bunch of collaborators on it, many of whom you will probably recognize.

   We hope you enjoy this song as much as we enjoyed creating it. A side note, this is my first jazz song that I've ever written, and I really enjoyed doing it.

Some time ago I had contacted https://soundcloud.com/francescocartocci , I almost thought he had forgotten me, then he sent me a wonderful instrumental he composed, arranged, played and later mastered very skillfully. 

In the course of our conversation, I made a joke. You've already guessed it, the humour you find in my country casts its shadow. Fortunately, we were able to clear up any misunderstandings... :)

That's how this song came about (I swear it's all true...)
The photo was also taken by Francesco, by the way, and dates back to the golden age when people were still allowed to smoke in hospital.

Blissful Game (2023)

This is the lead track from the set of songs that I began with Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the turmoil and chaos brought upon by the pandemic. This is also the first part of four tracks within the album directly based on Wou-Wou’s comic, The Shrike. It has been incredible working with Bitzone and Stricknice throughout the project as well. It is always cool when the everyone in the stag heard works well togehter and brings distinct yet complimentary ideas to the mix. Big thanks also to Weighty Tree for introducing his groovy style of neopsychedelica to the rut! 

May everyone be victorious at their turn during the rut.

Several weeks after the events of The Great Scurry, all had returned back to normal in the autumnal forest. Nature has a way of quickly shaking off the traumas of the past and returning to its most basic of desires. You see, all of life yearns to mate and procreate, and while most that experience defeat from the stronger or rejection from those seeking the fitter, muster the determination to get back up again, some take their spurning to heart, as if they were more deserving than nature intended, where it festers and begins to grow a new grotesque life of its own.

This song began with Terry sharing an intriguing Eastern sounding synth and minimal beat with Ken, who added a really solid beat to bring out the strong rhythm of the song. Once they had a solid foundation and skeleton, they shared it with the rest of the Eclectic Collective. I added my five string fretless bass in a dubby line that was inspired by Tez's hot skank part. Then JJ poured his magic into it, too. Stephen came up with the shocking dynamic lift towards the end, and Tez piled on to light it up. 
  Then MD got a hold of it and wrote and sang some of his trademark, fun lyrics and vocals in the first part of the song. Ken, not to be left out of the melodic experience, added the vocals at the end. 
  After we all had everything in the can, the Texas Tea combo of Stephen and Terry produced and mixed the whole thing down. This wasn't their first rodeo mixing a project together, and it really shows in the end quality. They also have several duo projects up on both of their pages that are worth checking out.  
  We think the end result is reminiscent of Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation, two big influences on a few of us. We all hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Pablo Picasso (October 25, 1881 to April 8, 1973) was a Spanish expatriate painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer, one of the greatest and most-influential artists of the 20th century.  The enormous body of Picasso’s work remains, and the legend lives on—a tribute to the vitality of the “disquieting” Spaniard with the “sombre…piercing” eyes who superstitiously believed that work would keep him alive.  Picasso's output, especially in his early career, is often periodized.  The most commonly accepted periods in his work are the Blue Period (1901–1904), the Rose Period (1904–1906), the African-influenced Period (1907–1909), Analytic Cubism (1909–1912), Synthetic Cubism (1912–1919), Neoclassicism to Surrealism (1921-1937) and Post-War Work (1937 – 1970s).  Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, from his African–influenced period, marks a radical break from traditional composition and perspective in painting. It depicts five naked women composed of flat, splintered planes whose faces were inspired by Iberian sculpture and African masks. The compressed space they inhabit appears to project forward in jagged shards.  Picasso unveiled this monumental painting, that precursors Cubism, in his Paris studio after months of revision.  Picasso said the ethnic primitivism evoked in these masks moved him to "liberate an utterly original artistic style”.  The Avignon of the work’s title is a reference to a street in Barcelona famed for its brothels.
