'하이퍼 팝'이라는 음악이래요.

사실 그믐은 뭐랄까, 마치 열 글자가 넘어가는 이름의 박력 있는 카페 메뉴처럼 세세한 마이크로 장르 분류에는 미숙할뿐더러, 흥미도 별로 없습니다.
세상에는 '들었을 때 좋은 음악'이라는 절대적인 장르가 있으니까요. 아무튼 처음 접했을 때 적잖이 충격을 받은 곡이었습니다.

그믐의 오리지널 인터루드를 제외하면 2분 20초에 불과한 원곡인데도 듣는 내내 쿵쾅대는 가슴은 이 음악을 사랑하게 되어서인지, 170 bpm의 정신 나간 리듬 때문인지, 아직도 모르겠어요.
이것도 흔들다리 효과일까요? 이번엔 우리의 방식에서는 흔치 않게, 원곡의 bpm을 그대로 가져오고 감성의 재해석을 최소화하는 등의 편곡을 했습니다. 여타 편곡 과정에서는 일본의 음악들을 많이 참고한 것 같아요.

너무 많은 정보가 빠르게 지나가 버리는 곡 진행이 요즘 시대상 같지 않나요. 그렇다고 한다면, 그것은 무엇보다 트렌디한 음악이 아닐까요.
하지만 너무 다행히도 변해버리면 따라가기 힘든 세상이나, 지나가 버리면 잡을 수 없는 시간과 달리, 그믐은 항상 여기에 있으니 두 번, 세 번, 우리가 내는 소리의 정보를 모두 읽으실 수 있을 때까지 들어주시면 좋겠습니다.
