NOSHOWS is an indie outfit based out of NYC fronted by Max Satow. Never shying away from fusing genres, their music undulates between hip hop, pop, funk, jazz and alt-rock realms. Prior to February 2022, Noshows was a solo act but with the addition of a full band, their performances have reached a new level of energy, quickly attracting a fervent fan base, gaining attention from venues like Bowery Electric, Arlene’s Grocery, Baby’s All Right and the awaited return of NY’s Pleasantville Music Festival. The group’s moniker ties into the music on a spiritual level. The lyrical themes on many tracks often explore the inner chaos and psyche of the mind, invisible to the outside world. Noshows is on a mission to magnify the intricacies of the conscious mind to bring people together in a shared understanding through music. Satow’s songwriting approach draws from personal experiences, communicated in a universal way and is driven by the principle that “understanding ourselves is the first step towards understanding others”.
