Bristol based Filthy Fusion (formally Leicester and London), AKA Lackers, has graced the decks for over 20 years now while also messing around in the studio releasing tracks/mash ups for a good chunk of that.

Rave and dance music flows deep within his veins, having spent the majority of his teens as a dedicated rocker and raver. One fateful night at an event he was handed a 12” from one of the DJ’s and from that moment he knew things would never be the same again.

Quickly acquiring a second hand set of ‘cheap’ direct drives, he was then determined to master the art of mixing. That hobby then turned into an obsession which snowballed from there...
Never ‘pigeon holing’ himself, Filthy Fusion and his previous alias of Lackers has always refused to stick to the 'genre rulebook'. Starting to mix Hard House he soon found that with all things in life, variety was the spice. So he quickly started to mix Trance and Funky House as side projects. This all helped him to become the versatile DJ he is today. Launching the Filthy Fusion alias, he then started dropping breaks into electro, which evolved into a love for fidget, bass driven house music and speed garage.

Filthy Fusion is well known for his ear for tracks, constantly mashing up whatever beat he is feeling at the time to an anticipating crowd. Always energetic behind the decks, there is never a dull moment what with his ceiling shattering drops & ear bleeding bass.
In sets he has been known to drop deep, groovy, Jackin’, bass driven house one night, then smashing out full on naughty dubby, bass breaks the next and even whacking up the tempo to 150 seamlessly in order to slip in the odd hard dance track or three, taking off the roof and pushing the clubbers experience to the next level.
 
Due to having his finger on the pulse and often dropping tracks and sounds that most have yet to hear, Filthy Fusion has held down various established residencies and been booked to play on the same bill as the likes of Roger Sanchez, Sidney Samson, Sandler Van Doorn, EZ as well as World DMC Champion Switch, Calvertron, Micky Slim and Ill Phil... Filthy Fusion counts himself lucky to have been asked to play Main room at Air, the Emporium and taking on London at clubs such as the legendary SE1. While also sourcing himself sets in Ibiza, he also experienced continued support at such venues as Gatecrasher, Custard factory, The Emporium and the Sanctuary/ Institute, to name a few...

Currently resident at his own touring brand ‘bass heavyweight’ Monoplay and recently joining the exciting new ‘multi genre Hard Dance’ Stompede, Filthy Fusion is also being supported by some of the grittiest brands out there in Clubland where music is still as fresh as the day it was born, including Rocked and various other dance brands.

Liz (middle name Melody) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer and classically trained pianist now living in London, UK. She works as a lyricist and vocalist for various producers in breakbeat, house and pop music also producing her own breakbeat tracks as Liz Melody or under the alias Breaks Will Eat Itself. She has 20 odd years of studio experience and collaborations under her belt.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Liz’s dance music influences were born out of the burgeoning rave scene of the 90's where she had the opportunity to perform on stages with artists such as Acen, Jam and Spoon and Dee Lite. Always wanting to make her way in the U.K. she made a brief move in the mid 90's and did vocal work for the London-based Kickin' and Slip'n'Slide record labels garnering her a top 10 hit with the house producers Boomshanka for the track "Gonna Make You Move". After years of studio work, a gold record, and collaborations with various producers in Canada and the U.S. Liz Melody found her way back to the U.K and the music she loves.

Since settling in the UK in late 2005 she has been making some serious waves in the dance music scene. Her vocal and writing talents can be heard on tracks for Splitloop, Slyde, Future Funk Squad, The Crystal Method, James Talk, DJ Aleksij & Klod Rights, Dogmatix,C83, Baymont Bross, Curtis B, Jack Stat, B-Phreak and more... Frequently asked to collaborate there will be more to come...

She has released 3 solo singles as Liz Melody. 
'Skeptical' on Sound of Habib with the Karton remix becoming one of the biggest breaks tunes of 2009, and 'Forget U' on Re:connect Records in 2007. There was also a collaboration with producer/dj High Eight entitled 'Rock my World' released on Re:connect in 2006.
Her newest solo material comes under the alias BWEI(Breaks Will Eat Itself). The first single “Resistance’ was released in Dec/ 09. The second release is a AA entitled 'To Be Alone'/'White Light' out August/2010. BWEI is released on En:vision Recordings.

Ka tet are a Galway(Ireland) based, three-piece rock band whose sound focuses as much on 3 part vocal harmonies as it does on crunchy guitar riffs, gripping rhythms and chunky bass undertones.
Their hard hitting music has been compared to the likes of Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures. The band encapsulates elements of all of these influences, combining them to create a unique and exciting new sound.

2013 was an unbelievable year for Ka tet, which saw them release their début album ARCADIA, and tour Ireland extensively in support of its release. The album has received fantastic reviews from some of Ireland's most respected music writers and was recently named in Chew Your Own Fat's Best of 2013 list!

Ka tet we're also featured and interviewed twice on The Mix Up with Colm O'Sullivan on Today FM following the release of their first two singles 'Let my Lady' and 'Bob n Charlie'.

2014 is shaping up to be even better, with a UK tour already under their belts, the band have been confirmed for several Irish festivals this summer including Vantastival, Kfest, Philfest and Light Colour Sound Festival. Ka tet have built up a reputation as an act that needs to be experienced live.

Project Shadowkind is not about music. This 'project' is about repetitive retro sounding noise manipulation, so don't expect much in the way of melody, chorus parts, middle eighths or chord changes (not that the odd melodic moment doesn't slip through though). 'instrumentation' and ideas come from a variety of sources; found sound, musique concrete, crude programmed rythyms, sound collage and (very) basic sampling being the main offenders. The end result hovers somewhere on the borders  of early gothic rock, 'old school' industrial and experiental avante garde electronica. Voices come from a varierty of sources, although there has been more original 'narration' on recent creations. Influences include Alan Vega and Martin Rev's Suicide, Throbbing Gristle, DAF, Nitzer Ebb, The Normal, John Foxx, Brian Eno, The BBC Radiophonic Workshop, early Human League, Cabaret Voltaire, Coil, Einsturzende Neubauten and more modern industrial bands such as Skinny Puppy. Nothing presented here is perfect nor the finished item. Everything is a work in progress, and probably always will be....

Well now...... your reading this and your wondering who I am? Well I am just as lost as you are! Just kidding but really I love music and the passion of music. I use to just fuck around and what not like any other artist started with. trying to see whats good and what sucked. I learned the hard way. Now I am back (again) for the odd reason that I have fallen back into music and the passion for it. I cant wait to make you all love music the same way I do and I never want anything to change. So please sit back and enjoy and if you don't like it, tell me how I can make it better, I love criticism from others because it helps me out and makes me learn the same way. So now lets hear this life story I got huh??

Well I began doing music in about 2009, right into college because that's where all the poppin stuff was at. I had a few chances to really get out there and mix shit up but I really never put effort into it and failed because of it. im not ashamed for it but I am sad because I had those chances and I let them slip away. Now I wont let anything slip away because if you let it get away, you never know what could have happened. So please never let anything get away from you. and love everything you touch because even if its for a moment, its a moment that will last forever.......

I enjoy performing solo improvised electronics, creating sound-design for installation, theatre and film, performing live with cabaret star Miss Roberts as part of "Rude Mechanicals". 

I started working life as an Oceanographer. Throughout this time experimenting extensively with sound, using modified reel-to-reel and self-built devices. 

His portfolio of compositions includes work for piano and "tape", live processing of soprano saxophone, video, theatre, dance and installations. His soundtracks have been heard on Resonance FM and at national events including the Manchester Short Film Festival, Newcastle Vain Festival, Sonic Arts Network Expo! 

MORE STUFF (if you really want to know)

Gear
The set up has several elements which are pretty interchangeable, but I normally use a 3/4 size electric guitar as a primary sound source with a Headrush loop pedal (because its very straightforward) processed through various effects units. I only rarely play the guitar conventionally, preferring to use preparations: placing objects between strings and rubbing and striking the strings or using devices like the ebow to generate sounds. The tuning of the guitar varies and often I deliberately detune during performance - some strings by around two octaves. If I’m collaborating with other musicians this is often the only instrument I’ll use as it’s quick to set up!

For a solo performance I’ll bring some more devices along - very much depending on the nature of the  event and how long I have to perform. Ive become fond of Korg recently and often use their Kaossiloator and Monotron synths as they are easy to slip in a pocket. I also like to bring along one of a selection of larger synths, self built/circuit bent or novel instruments. This includes a Stylophone 350S, a Wasp, SH101, a fretless bass tuned to low B, a child’s keyboard, contact mics, and a modded delay I made in the 80s. Rather than set all this up through a large mixer I like to use a small 4-channel microphone mixer and plug things in and out - probably because it adds to the danger and theatre!

Development
During the 80s I started using computers for music in particular a Yamaha CX5M and in the early 90s a Mac. Making music using these was slow (not quite as slow as using magnetic tape! But still sloooowww…) My interest was in electroacoustic music and combined samples and synthesised sounds. The level of detail I went into was borderline obsessive. Initially I was doing sound design for theatre, but then I started a post grad degree in music and found playing finished pieces in concert halls was an odd experience as no one was doing anything. So I started working with live performers and playing the pieces live myself.

It quickly struck me that the sounds and structures I had taken so long to achieve in the studio could be created spontaneously on stage. I used a AKAI S3000 to sample instrumentalists editing and manipulating on the fly. No only was there little sonic difference, it was more interesting  for myself and the audience. Computers in those days were forever crashing and I always found a mouse a rather clumsy musical instrument, so I’ve never felt tempted to use computers live.

Aesthetic
The unpredictability and ephemerality of improvisation appeals and for years I avoided recording my performances. Choices about what to use are made on the spot after arriving for a performance - sometimes using less than half of what’s brought. I enjoy collaborating - especially with other art-forms like dance and this extends to the audience who can be asked to choose what equipment used etc.. Often a series of shorter pieces of around 5mins can seem more satisfying that extending an idea for 30min. Recently Ive started using computers again for creating the sound element of installations - sometimes supplementing with live performance.

Alfabetiks Anonymous is a group of four hip hop junkies. Day by day living their lives soaked in the jazz influenced music. Some could say they're addicted;they have a problem;somebody help these kids see the light;why dont they like creed... the truth is that creed sucks ass and that they were set on this earth by the most rhythmic group of aliens.
The mellow beats by Bläp Dëli make you slip into a heavy trance of golfing, wine tasting, experimental jazz/fusion, and tasty frigid northern california waves.
The lyrics of Bitter Root, Subtle T, and Odd1Out (Daniel Johnson, Toby Scott, and Pedro Casteneda) knock you into feather beds that swallow your imagination and force your eyes to close and visualize the 67 fleetwood turning the corner of the alley way where the best ghetto-ball games are hosted during late nights, as they walk out of the car you only wish you could do three things:Garden, Slay Dragons, and be odd.
